Las tortillas Mexican grill — Restaurant in Ponta

"It can be dangerous to eat without the tortilla", was the waiters' exact words. Before they officially opened up for the public (due to constructions), they did take-away. I'm a celiac so, it is always great to find gluten-free options on any menu, and finally a Mexican option. So naturally, when they eventually opened up, I was excited. I went there and ordered 2 dishes because I was hungry. One gluten-free and the 2nd option was with a tortilla. I simply asked to NOT add the tortilla (like a hamburger on a plate without the bun) and explained why. Here is where the problem started. When the waiter came back, he informed me that it was impossible to simply serve the filling. I informed that I didn't expect a discount or anything, I just wanted the meat and all minus the tortilla. He understood, went back to the kitchen and came out again, informing me that the chef said that it can be dangerous to eat without the tortilla. Bottom-line, eat your tortillas. Really excellent food, a pleasant and rare surprise in Luanda. Very nice polite staff. Food is made fairly quickly considering it's all fresh and absolutely delicious.

The only complaint would be turn the music down and that the takeaway menu is quite limited. Also the food is not spicy at all, would be great if they offered more spicy sauces and jalapeños etc.

Food is pricey but servings are huge, don't bother with starters even if sharing or you'll never finish.

Experiência extremamente desagradável

Estive ontem quarta-feira dia 15 de maio no restaurante Las tortilhas mexicanas gril da ilha de Luanda e, sinceramente, foi uma das piores experiências que já tive. Logo na entrada, fui abordado por um segurança extremamente mal educado, com uma postura agressiva e totalmente desnecessária. Uma recepção assim já é suficiente para espantar qualquer cliente.

Para piorar, a equipe de atendimento foi grosseira e totalmente sem educação. Nenhuma cordialidade, má vontade evidente ao responder perguntas e um descaso completo com o cliente. A sensação era de que estavam fazendo um favor, e a gerência foi inventar de estipular que atendimento só por agendamento, algo que na minha opinião vai matar a popularidade do restaurante 🍴 o elitismo não tem de ser esforçado, estamos farto 🙄 da gentrificação. Adicionalmente não se deram nem o trabalho de informar nos meios de comunicação convencionais com as páginas das redes sociais deles que o atendimento agora seria somente por agendamento, o cliente gasta recursos par chegar até ao estabelecimento e se depara com toda aquela horrorosidade do mal atendimento.

Um restaurante não se sustenta só pela comida que, aliás, nem teve chance de se destacar diante de tanto descaso. O mínimo que se espera de um estabelecimento é respeito e profissionalismo, o que infelizmente passou bem longe aqui.
