Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Anguilla

Been to Dolce Vita numerous time. Had dinner April 15, owner came by introduced himself during beverages to make sure all was well. Started eating my pasta seafood and 2nd bite in chomped down on some hard shell. Hoping it was a one time thing. Next bit received a LARGER piece of shell AFTER SEARCHING THUR THE MEAL FOR SHELLS. I excused myself from the table and spit it out into a napkin in front of my server. Told her it was the 2nd shell I found. NO RESPONSE from her! Did not have the patience to try again. So I sat there watching the 4 others eat. Bill came and was charged for the dinner which was 95% untouched. Told her to take it off the bill as I was not paying for it. THE OWNER NEVER CAME BUY TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE SHELLS IN MY FOOD. THE WAITRESS NEVER DID ANYTHING OR SAID ANYTHING TO ME. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. ALMOST FORGOT THE SHELL , TOOK OFF THE PROTECTIVE COATING TO MY RETAINER AND NEED TO MAKE A DENTIST APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AND PAID FOR. SO...

I absolutely love this place, the food was amazing. Kai is absolutely accommodating and one of the most friendliest people that I have ever met. The bartender I want to say his name was Darren was amazing and then the wait staff. OMG I didn’t catch all of their names, but everyone was awesome…. With the exception of hostess… She is an older lady with glasses was very rude, in seating situations. She will tell you there’s nothing available on the water and I sat there for over 2 hours at my table and several of the tables that she said reserved was not. They were never occupied. Besides that the experience was beyond the best. Food OMG if you get to experience The Barata cheese, that’s all I can say get the Barata cheese. . And an amazing...

Hands down the best Italian restaurant on the island take my word for it! Don’t judge a book by its cover is all I will say. The entry to the restaurant might not look grand but boy oh boy do they know how to prepare Italian cuisine here! Couple families that have been coming here for years told us to try this place and they were so right! Fresh baked bread, salads were fresh. Meatball starter was really good highly recommend it. The bolognese pasta that I had was very good. Server was very kind, helpful and entertaining. This place gave us a very homey Italian family owned restaurant vibe and feel....
