My boyfriend dropped me off at the airport much in advance until I departed , so I had a lot of time to kill. I was really hungry and wanted to fuel myself up before my 5 and a half hour flight back home. My server was quite a gentleman and even pulled out the extra chair and put my carryon on it . When I sat down and read the 1- star reviews from this place I got quite scared … but I’m not sure if today was more immaculate compared to the other’s reviewers experiences, but I definitely wouldn’t give this place a 1 star review . I got a chicken quesadilla, and the food tasted exactly how it does at the sports bars Toronto , and for a very similar price . People in other reviews are complaining about the pricing , but you are at an airport so obviously the prices will be higher ; and I’ve personally seen way worse prices back at home for the same meal ( I do live in one of the most experience cities in the world so this opinion is most likely bias) . But I did enjoy my experience and would come back to eat here if I’m hungry and have time to kill before my departure. But it is Antigua, and Antigua isn’t cheap. I am full and content after my meal and that’s what counts ! This food was actually better than the $165US meal I spent at Shear Rocks...
Read moreSkip Players and go to Big Banana instead! I felt like Players is a complete rip-off and they don’t honor their posted pricing. I ordered a burger, fries, chocolate shake. I grabbed a bottle of water and can of soda from the cooler. I almost choked when she told me it was $52!! I put the water back but still ended up paying $45. My hubby and I split it because we weren’t willing to pay $90 for dinner at a fast food restaurant! When I looked at my receipt the cashier at Players had charged me different price than what was on the sign. The less-than-friendly cashier told me the sign is wrong and she’d get a manager to fix it. They refused to refund the difference. My brother and his wife ate at The Big Banana at the other end of the terminal. They said Big Banana had great food and they had a full meal with two for less than $25. My recommendation is to skip Players and go to Big...
Read moreI can't believe how long it took to get a panini! I stood off to the side, waiting for number 51 to be called. Once they got to 58, I approached and asked if they had called me and I didn't hear. No, they had not. Instead, they hadn't even started making it because they were out of the chicken panini... Did I want a chicken wrap or a turkey panini? Good grief! I asked for turkey and proceeded to watch as it was put on and then forgotten about as the prep cook pumped out order numbers in the high 60s. Finally, I asked him AGAIN if it was ready. He checked, and yes, of course it was. When I sat down to eat, I was disappointed with the sandwich...smallest scrap of lettuce you've ever seen and one small piece of meat... but I was too hungry and frustrated to complain. Honestly, I got through customs and security faster than getting that $20 sandwich. Clearly, I do NOT recommend...
