Esquina Homero Manzi is a charming tango venue in the heart of Buenos Aires known for its intimate live shows and performances. I recently visited to take in one of their famous shows and was thoroughly enthralled the entire evening.
The venue itself is relatively small with tables surrounding a compact stage and dance floor, creating an up-close and personal atmosphere. The talented troupe of dancers interacted with the audience throughout their routines, heightening the engagement. Between the world-class dancing and live musical accompaniment, I was completely transported into the passion and artistry of authentic Argentine tango.
Some highlights for me included a stunning choreographed routine with two couples and an older gentleman soloist who moved with grace and emotion beyond his years. The costumes, lighting, and sound all came together to create an immersive, theatrical experience. By the end, I wanted nothing more than to learn some moves myself!
I made a video capturing the incredible energy and entertainment of the evening. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/tNi5w4W0o3g. I highly recommend checking it out to get a glimpse into this memorable tango show.
In summary, the live tango performances at Esquina Homero Manzi are not to be missed, especially for dance enthusiasts. The intimate setting and exceptional dancing make for an evening you won't soon forget. I left feeling inspired, moved, and eager to experience more of Buenos Aires' incredible tango culture. This is a must-do for any visit...

I had two glasses of wine, my wife had a martini and our friends opted for bottled water. At the end of our meal, the curtains around the streetside windows came down, a lady brought a candle to the table and a large curtain at the end of the room went up as a full blown Tango show started! We were entertained for over an hour by 3 singers, 6 dancers and a 5 piece band. At the end of the night I asked for the check,...$43 USD! Yep, for...
