This was our first visit since the restaurant was called Barrancas de Alvear and the improvements to the food, the layout and general ambience is incredible in its transformation. The food was top notch. I had a huge sandwich de lomo which was perfectly cooked and my wife had the pasta which she loved. We ate outside on the terrace and the food goes cold quickly in the breeze, so eat fast. The service was excellent, although they do try to rush you which became clear when we left at 2230 as they were queueing at the door outside, even though we had turned up at 8pm as Saturdays are busy everywhere. A 600cc bottle of beer, main course and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (Trapiche, Cave) came to around 900 pesos which is par for the course today. I would definitely recommend Malloy's due to the quality of the food, but if you want somewhere a little more intimate, there are other smaller restaurants...

Second time here, the restaurant has downgraded a lot, felt like they couldn’t handle being popular. First the service, there is no reservation available, they have a waiting list with no estimation or idea when you will be seated, we were waiting nearly 90 minutes, then once finally seated the waitress let us know that food will take another 45 minutes to be served (she hasn’t even said hello at first, we felt like she was inviting us to find another place). Food was good, not great, we had the worst patatas bravas ever, asado and ceviche was good, drinks arrived after the food (we had to ask twice for them). And finally the vibe, used to be much better, and I’m just being polite, no dress code at all, guests being rude, definitely not the kind of place you will expect for that money. Highly overpriced in every aspect (vibe, food, service, cleanliness). Lot of better...

Overall it is difficult to rate this restaurant. This review is based on: how many people know this and how popular is in the area, also that is very big, and prices match for a good quality, zone area ,references in google maps and others.

I could say It is just Ok. I was on an evening with friends, long waiting list but was running fast, the was a guy from the rest in the front door Idk what he was doing there honestly we asked for help and he was just saying to everyone the same: Wait until the women call you she would answer all you're questions( in a not frindly way..)

Rest of it, food was just OK. not as I was expecting for this type of rest, I can say it was fast. Also For night dinners It might be too dark. we could hardly see each other. And also for summer dinner I can say it was a...
