Masaii San Isidro — Restaurant in Martínez

The restaurant looks lovely, everything is so chic. Unfortunately, the food was totally flavorless. We asked for 3 starters, 4 main dishes and 2 desserts. Starters: burrata with ham, Rabas and mushrooms. The burrata and mushrooms had no flavor at all and the rabas were ok. Main dishes: Trucha: I don’t know if the dish attempted to be very healthy or what but it was a trucha with vegetables nothing else, something we can cook at home. Risotto: I don’t know if it was a mushroom risotto, or what but I couldn’t taste anything else than rice. Raviolis de trucha: this was the best plate, very creamy. I would recommend this to next diners. Dessert; Ganache: for us, the chocolate was super bitter eventho the groom told us it was regular cacao. The other dessert was the special from the house. It was ok, a mix of ice cream...

Only agreeable things are decoration and view. Experience begins with overpriced, obligatory valet parking. Wine list was short and over priced. One of the salad starters lacked the dates that were described on the menu. The pasta “nero di sepia’ was green instead of black and showed no signs of the promised squid ink. The accompanying seafood sauce showed no sign of thoughtful preparation, just a few clams, mussels, and prawns thrown in. My partner didn’t eat her plate, saying it was absolutely tasteless and poorly cooked A fellow diner from Italy sent his pasta dish back, saying it was a mushy mess. The replacement dish was no better. Bottom line is that four out of six people ate and the bill was far too high for the disappointing experience....

Very trendy and upcoming restaurant. We went during the night service. I personally do not enjoy too much the over-the-top-but-chill atmosphere, but distance between tables is perfect, chairs and small sofas are comfy and inviting, and lighting is quite intimate (although reading a menu might prove challenging, it was perfectly solved by the staff for us). Food was wonderful and service was truly outstanding. A side note: I was surprised by the mandatory 400 pesos valet parking (a restaurant aiming as high as this one seems to be ought to offer free parking...
