Bad food, smallest microscopic services of oily servings dressed in sweet or sour sauces. That might sound like a personal taste, but you'd eat better by the side of the roads in Argentina on those pop-up choripan places. Seriously.
Kids menu, milanesa with fries, the milanesa came in half raw - PARTIALLY RAW CHICKEN, YES - to the point my 7yo asked what was that red vein in the middle of the meat. Almost impossible to cut.
After so many awesome dining experiences driving from São Paulo all the way to Mendoza, some better than others, to come here - apparently the most well regarded dining place in South America - and have to deal with this, alongside a noisy salon with, perhaps drunk people screaming out of their lungs about their life (mostly Brazilians), dB meter measuring consistent 80dB... no. Avoid. Maybe there's a reason there's not a single plate along the highways to visit this place.
They are either too new, and "Angelica" doesn't know food as she seems to know wine, or it's just... bad.
Avoid. At all costs. Specially for 40k-80k per person.
Edit: they realized the bad ambience and the general mood, and didn't charge for the food. If they are just starting, it's a bad start. It can be fixed. But if it stays that way, they will be catering to drunk Brazilians who want to go there, taste wine and vomit on the toilet (yeah...). Not the kind of place anyone else would like to...
Read moreThe food, service and wine were simply spectacular. Showcasing local ingredients in a refined and eloquent style, the chef and cook provided a stunning and well paired set of plates which paired beautifully with the wine. The wine was, as expected fabulously well crafted, and our server even gave us some of the more premium stuff! The service was impeccable, we absolutely loved their positive and uplifting atitude. As it was our honeymoon they made sure that we were well taken care of. My wife remarked, after the meal, “that was one of the best food experiences of my life, the views, the service, the wine… simply spectacular.” They pretty much give you as much wine as you want and did so in such a graceful and well mannered fashion.
So you know, the guy below me who wrote a 1 star review was a horrible, arrogant and pompous spoiled prat inside of that restaurant… Ignore his review as he was holding his empty wine glass that he guzzled in about two seconds and kept shaking his head that he wasn’t getting a mass refill of some of the most well crafted and well refined wine in...
Read moreThe food was good, although I don’t think it’s appropriate to pair the same wine with both the meat dish and the vegetarian dish. I also found it a bit unfair that the meat-eaters were served a spectacular cut of meat, while the vegetarian dish was simply a rather bland pak choi. Although I don’t believe it is intentional, it does give the feeling that vegetarians are somehow being “punished” for their choice. We know that meat is much more filling than pak choi, and also that the cost of a meat cut is not comparable to that of a vegetable, which creates a sense of imbalance in the overall experience. The service was excellent, and the venue itself is truly luxurious and incredible. I feel that the dishes sound better than they actually taste. I understand that Michelin-starred restaurants often try to impress with elaborate descriptions, but sometimes less is more. Simple dishes can often amaze diners even more. Despite these points, the overall experience was good, and the scenery was spectacular. The wines were...
