Dux- Casa de Fuegos- — Restaurant in Mendoza

One of the few “gourmet” options near the center of Tunuyan. The hotel, Casa Septem, is quite new as well as their restaurant but not yet fully established. The decor and outdoor seating area is nice. The surrounding area is known to be residential and overall safe, however there was security personnel constantly circling the common areas where the guests are located with guard dogs, making for a more eerie than relaxing ambiance. The dishes we ok, but nothing you wouldn’t be able to whip up at home. If you are not a guest at the hotel, the only dining option is the three-course menu with little to no flexibility. Such a beautiful place! I came here during my birthday trip back in 2023. It was a quiet evening so ordering/service was solid. Speaking of service, the host was great. She checked on the table occasionally and shared some history/knowledge about Malbec and wine in the region in general. Her efforts helped create a fantastic evening. The food was delicious, loved the bread and olive oil. The empanadas were great as was the pork and potatoes. I really liked the sweet and savory combo of the sauce with the loin. I enjoyed the wine as well - Argentina being the land of Malbec. Dessert was lovely, a dulce de leche lava cake with ice cream. Would definitely visit again. Desaconsejo la visita a este lugar.Ayer con una opcion de dos variantes de platos en los tres pasos tardaron una vida en traerlos en el segundo paso que la mayoria pidio costillas, a uno de los comensales le trajeron ese plato LITERALMENTE FRIO,para que se lo cambiaran que deberia haber sido dos minutos ir buscar una costilla en la temperatura adecuado NO RECALENTADA tardaron veinte minutos es decir ya habiamos terminado los demas y esta persona seguia esperando.Los postres por ejemplo eran dos chocotortas para los niños trajeron una y a los quince o veinte minutos la otra. NO ES EXCUSA ESTAMOS DESBORDADOS era con reserva vale decir sabian cuantos comenzales tendrian, honestamente con la cantidad de extranjeros que habia senti verguenza ajena.
