Nestled along the tranquil riverside, El Paisano is a homely dining experience and promises an unforgettable and relaxing afternoon.

From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with genuine hospitality and helpful assistance from Lorena and Camilo. The food was incredible including highlights of warm focaccia with onions and tomatoes, empanadas and the asado - cooked to perfection. You're never left with an empty glass, starting off with local white wine and then switching to a delicious mendoza malbec when the meat starts to arrive.

The atmosphere at El Paisano is nothing short of magical, with the gentle flow of the river and the sight of roaming horses adding to the charm of the setting. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to savor each moment without ever feeling rushed.

Lorena was very helpful in getting the experience booked and ensured that the experience catered to my celiac...

Let's start with the bottom line--If you are wine tasting in Mendoza, DON'T miss taking an afternoon to stop at El Paisano for a bucolic, rustic, charming outdoor lunch. Hidden off the beaten path you will find father and son, Daniel and Omar, second and third generation proprietors, waiting to delight your palate with perfectly grilled steak, vegetarian risotto, and Argentinian delicacies. A running stream with rapids along side grazing horses and huge Poplar and chestnut trees completed the experience. You will probably need a rental car, I doubt Ubers will get you there. You might want to bring a couple of bottles of your favorite wines--we didn't go there for the wine. We left our lunch thrilled with the experience and looking forward to...

It’s hard to describe just how special this place is. We arrived on a chilly afternoon to find a roaring fireplace waiting for us. Carmine and his staff were incredible. Every course was better than the previous one and the wine was generously poured. The setting is like Eden. The river, the chestnut trees, the birds, and the charmingly rustic furnishings added up to an afternoon that felt otherworldly. We were there for hours and it felt like not enough time. Bonus: Carmine gave my brother in law a Cuban cigar as lagniappe. I want to keep this place a secret but Carmine asked us to write reviews so here it is. Hire a driver if you’re going....

One of the best meals I have ever had, anywhere. Camilo (grill master) and Lorena (server) were fantastic. Each dish was cooked to perfection. The setting — we sat outside next to a creek — was beautiful. The weather was . . . variable. It went from “I wish I’d worn a t-shirt” warm and sunny to, “HOLY CRAP, IT’S RAINING!” The rain quickly passed, however, and we did not have to move indoors. I think anyone seeing this (photo below) will agree that Camilo should play himself in the movie.
