If you value your health and your holiday time in the Salta region, AVOID Peña Sabores Nobles. The good reviews seen here on Google Maps drove us to stop in for lunch early on a Monday afternoon, and it turned out to be a vacation-altering mistake, this due to the horrible -- and horribly resilient -- food poisoning my wife contracted. Perhaps we should have seen it coming, as the tablecloth was slicked with grease of a sort and smelled bad, the glasses and some of the silverware we were given were dirty, and the bottle of bubbly water we received was not cold and had obviously been opened prior to our arrival. Still, we persevered, despite being the only customers in the place at the height of the lunch service. The reviews were really good, right? We both ordered empanadas and the Pollo Al Limone, with me ordering fries on the side and my wife asking for salad. Sadly, the food was quite mediocre, and I would even use the word 'forgettable', if not for the fact that the raw vegetables that comprised my wife's salad grossly affected the next 8 days of our stay in Argentina.
