The place was not even busy as I came for a late lunch having seen the reviews for the quinoa and yet the service was dull and slow.
Quinoa risotto with mushrooms is ok but there are hardly any mushrooms. Compared to La Casona in San Pedro de Attacama this was a huge disappointment and was expensive.
…and don’t bother ordering the churros as they don’t come with the spiced chocolate sauce that folks on here have been raving about…when I questioned the staff they denied it and said only churros and no chocolate sauce - RIDICULOUS! …in fact the churros themselves were DISGUSTING - cold and stale - not even the sugar that they were drenched in could hide the taste…that spiced chocolate sauce they use to do must have been amazing!
Apparently they use to do a Peña (live music) though this does not happen anymore.
Sad to say that it looks like this place has gone downhill. Fortunately there is Asaido which is a couple of doors down and serves outstanding humita, lama casserole, Dulce leche cake. The Regional Menu is a good at A$3400. The Peña at lunch and dinner is...
Read moreCame in for dinner due to the glowing food reviews. I had read about the single server but thought that the many positive food reviews would over come it.
Unfortunately it did not! The level of service here is zero to none, and you will waste hours of your life that you cannot get back just waiting for the food and then when it does finally arrive combat the let down.

He took over 30 minutes to get me a coke - which I had to go up and ask the owner who just sits at the bar doing nothing. And he still didnt even bring me the coke - made the server bring it which took another 5 minutes or so all whilst sitting at the bar staring at us then trying to avoid us.
Food - We ordered the meat platter, over cooked and chewy, other dishes not memorable, the execution isn't there...
Read moreI wish we could give this place extra stars for service!
We can't remember our servers name but it was a young man and he went above and beyond. First off, gin and tonics are on their menu but it's hard to always have everything available in the mountains. So when we ordered a gin and tonic, they sent someone to grab tonic from the kiosko. Then when the guy didn't know how to make one he, (without telling us) went to YouTube and watched a video. I'm telling you it was the best gin and tonic he could have done. It was great and we've had bad ones like in Purmamarca. Dinner was great. Portions were quite large but we were happy since we had traveled so much that day. We spent $6,000 pesos or $20 USD for two entrees and two...
