We dined here recently while returning from a drive along the Circuito Chico in the Bariloche area. After exploring the stunning Circuito Chico, we noticed this restaurant along the route. Unsure of where to eat, we decided to give it a try as the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was enchanting. The cozy cabin setting, with its wooden tables, walls, and ceilings, felt like stepping into a European retreat. Upon entering, we were greeted by the sight of lamb roasting on an open fire.
Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and recommended some excellent dishes. I ordered the goulash soup, while my partner tried the lamb. Although I’m not usually a fan of lamb, I must admit it was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth—a must-try! We paired our meal with a bottle of Alamos Reserva Malbec, which complemented the flavors beautifully. The soup was surprisingly flavorful, and we also enjoyed a fresh salad and provolone with sausage cooked on the barbecue, which had a delightful smoky flavor and texture.
We sat upstairs with a panoramic view of the restaurant, giving us the feeling of dining in a private home. By the time we left, the place was bustling with both locals and tourists. This is undoubtedly one of the best dining spots in Bariloche.
I highly recommend this restaurant for its unique ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food.

Read moreAfter reading the reviews on here I am sorry to say that we were a tad disappointed. Atmosphere: 5. The place is decorated wonderfully with the the open fires displayed in the kitchen a lovely centrepiece. Service: 5. Despite our nonexistent Spanish the service staff were very friendly and clearly very capable Wine: 5. Excellent choice and well priced. Price: 5. Very reasonable for the huge portion sizes (+/- 2000arp) Food: 3. Here is the disappointing bit. This was our first Argentine BBQ meal. We ordered a steak and the Cordero (Patagonian style Lamb). Both were HUGE. Unfortunately, both were over done and so not as moist or juicy and we had hoped they would be. I felt that the lamb tasted only of grill.
My wife and I come from South Africa, were the meat culture is similar. It does not compare to meals I have had there. It was not terrible, but it was not what I had expected. Owing to our Spanish levels I felt unable to send them back. At least they made up for it with quantity amd excellent...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to eat at this restaurant last night after reading so many positive reviews. We both enjoy Argentine food and this did not disappoint. Our server was Diego, and he was great. He recommended the Patagonian empanadas which were rich and delicious, and for dinner my wife had the grilled lamb, and I had the bife chorizo. Diego recommended a nice 1/2 bottle of malbec for my wife to enjoy the lamb with. She enjoyed both the wine and the lamb that melted in her mouth. My steak was probably the biggest steak i have ever seen, and it was cooked perfectly! It was delicious! We had papa fritas with the meal, homemade chimichurri and bread galore. Diego was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the food. We took our time, Argentine style, enjoyed the food and the restaurant and were still unable to eat everything. It was an amazing meal. You wont be...
