Cherkezi Dzor – Gyumri’s Fish Restaurant is simply outstanding and highly recommended for visiting. Don’t be surprised at first — it’s located a bit outside the city center, in a low-rise area, and the last hundred meters are on a dirt road, making it feel like you’re heading into the middle of nowhere. But in reality, you arrive at a beautiful fish farm, where trout swim right around the restaurant.

The territory is gorgeous, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. The service is absolutely exceptional — staff constantly check on you, replace every utensil immediately, and make you feel truly welcomed and cared for. The food is delicious: we ordered two salads, grilled vegetables, one kilogram of amazing rainbow trout kebab, juice, two glasses of wine, two cups of coffee, and something else — all for about 17500 AMD. For this level of quality and service, it was simply incredible.

We couldn’t even finish everything and ended up taking half of it with us. If we ever return to Gyumri, this will definitely be the only place where we’ll eat. Armenia is full of wonderful food, but this restaurant exceeded all our expectations. Huge thanks...

One of the best experiences we had in Armenia was our dining experience at this restaurant. Although it's quite a drive from Yerevan, it's still worth it as the experience is unlike anything else. The first impressions count, and the first thing you'd notice stepping foot in this establishment is the calming open air environment with multiple fish ponds. On the site there's a brewery and kitchen staff bake fresh bread. The fish are caught from the pond and cooked BBQ style. We tried sturgeon, trout and their caviar. Although all three were perfect, the BBQ'd sturgeon was at another level. The staff is very kind and welcoming. We had an elderly on wheelchair in our party, and the crew went above and beyond to transport him from vehicle to restaurant and back.

Highly recommend this place if you can brave the 2hr drive...

Gyumri's Fish Restaurant or Cherkezi Dzor is my favorite and the best restaurant in Gyumri City. The location is super and not far from the city center. The restaurant is so huge, you need to take a tour around before eating. The fish ponds are amazing, they serve different kinds of fresh fish. Starlet is my favorite one. The food is delicious and yummy. The menu is big and rich The service is super 👌 The staff are friendly and welcoming. The prices are good It's suitable for families, kids, friends, couples. I definitely recommend...
