Kiem Bo Chinese & Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Adelaide

Great place, nice owners and excellent food, to the extent that other Chinese places I've been to generally don't hold a candle to Kiem Bo and in-turn, I've been purchasing from this place monthly / bi-monthly since around 2019. Of what I have tried, I'd recommend trying the following;

General: Special Fried Rice * Sweet & Sour Pork

Chicken: Honey Chicken In Batter * Flaming Satay Chicken

Steak: Flaming Satay Steak * Braised Steak with Black Bean Mongolian Steak

Noodle Box: Hokkien Noodle Box * Satay Noodle Box * Combo Fried Rice Box (Different from special fried rice)

As a side note and to mention my main reason for posting a review is that I've been seeing a fair number of negative reviews for this business recently (which a fair number seem to be in sequence on the same topic, potentially one bad experience having friends review bomb) And a fair number are over reasons which seem to be reaching heavily, the non-native English speaking owner not having good phone manner... Or asking the store for a refund after the delivery service stole the order...

In the end, the food isn't always perfect and I've certainly had some disappointment with weakly flavored foods here and there however, over 5ish years I've been going, the large majority of my experiences have been fairly positive and I've heard similar from friends.

I do realize the food here isn't for everyone and that it's not always going to be perfect, however, I still will strongly recommend these guys, Their food has consistently been better than a number of significantly more popular places around and I really think that Kiem Bo deserves more attention.

If you want good done in place, Kim boasts is a place to go and also to eat and dine away, take away and dining. If you want a good customer service, kimbos is the place if you want to have good customer quality service. Deep at kingdoms, Gus kimbos is nice, caring, and considerate of customer needs. If you want to have good food, think about kimbos, but takeaway and dining Cos they are nice and the food there is quality. Nice food is not like any other place that you think about. Ordered takeaway here and was told to pick up in 35 mins- by the owner/elderly Chinese man with non existent customer service or phone manner, quiet and very hard to understand. I arrived 40 minutes later to a small shop front with 5 people waiting for their takeaway. The owner stated to me it would be another 8 mins to which I said ok. 40 minutes later my order was ready to which all the owner did was instigated for me to pay and told me the price.... No apologies for the disgustingly long wait, no friendliness, no eye contact, no thankyou.. not even a bag of prawn crackers.. Nothing.... at this stage there were 7 people waiting for their food also to which none looked happy at all.
