The Cupcake Lady — Restaurant in Adelaide

When we contacted The Cupcake Lady with our idea for our Marvel symbol edible images on the cupcakes and the date of our Wedding thankfully they were available to make the cupcakes. Lucky for us The Cupcake Lady had just opened a store in the middle of the shopping centre at Golden Grove so we were able to purchase some different flavours to try. I was very grateful that Ben confirmed they could include mint as it is my favourite flavour for one of our cupcake flavours. Ben also made sure the patty pans matched perfectly with our Marvel symbol edible images. We provided the images and were so impressed with the end product. Iron Man - Nutella with Gold patty pan Deadpool - Red Velvet with Red patty pan Thor – Vanilla Cupcake with Cookies and Cream with Silver patty pan Loki - Zesty Lemon with Gold patty pan, these being GFO/VGO Captain America - Honeycomb with Blue patty pan Hawkeye - Double Chocolate with Black patty pan Hulk - Mint with Green patty pan We hired a stand for the cupcakes and the cake on top for the cake cutting. We wanted the cupcakes to be the main dessert which they certainly were. We got so many glowing comments about the images on the cupcakes and the taste. Due to our small Wedding people were able to try a couple on the night or have one and take one or more home in the dome containers we purchased from The Cupcake Lady for just that purpose! Zero stars. Awful business. Ordered 72 cupcakes for a staff celebration and confirmed details and time for arrival (9.30am) multiple times. There was no confusion about the order or details. They didnt arrive! This created havoc for our large organisation and planned morning tea event. When I called, I was told an afternoon delivery could be arranged. I said to consider this, some sort of compensation should be arranged, but was told this was not an option. I can understand that technical/computer issues may occur, (even though I would expect triple checking of orders) but I would expect something on offer to make up for the extremely poor...

Not only are the cupcakes absolutely amazing, but I recently preordered cupcakes for Easter with a pick up date of the Thursday before Good Friday.

When that Thursday came around I ended up injuring myself at work and was unable to walk, I was so focused on the injury that obviously I completely forgot about the cupcakes.

When they called me I told them I wouldn’t be able to collect them because I couldn’t walk and I was happy to let them keep the cupcakes and take the loss, but instead they kindle offered to deliver them to me free of charge since I only live a few minutes from the pick up location.
