Our recent Friday evening visit was a delightful culinary adventure. **Ambiance:** The restaurant section of the Edinburgh Hotel boasted a charming ambiance with well-thought-out table arrangements and lovely floral decorations. Although the place was packed, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a pleasant spot to unwind after a long week. **Service:** Despite the bustling crowd, the staff were attentive and efficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the prompt service, even on such a busy night. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff added to the overall positive experience. **Food:** The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the wagyu rump (300g). Cooked to perfection, it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time, bursting with flavor and tenderness. The poached pear was equally impressive, adding a sweet and refreshing note to the evening. While it was disappointing that many of the desserts were unavailable, it was understandable given the high demand. **Value:** Although the food was a bit on the pricier side, it was well worth it for the quality and service we received. The restaurant's popularity and the packed house are a testament to its excellence. **Noise Level:** The only downside was the noise level inside the restaurant, which was quite high. However, this is a minor drawback considering the fantastic food and service. **Overall:** Our dinner at the Edinburgh Hotel was a memorable experience. With its great ambiance, excellent food, and top-notch service, it's a place we'd highly recommend. Just be sure to book a table in advance, as it gets very busy, especially on weekends.

Three of us dined for lunch at the Edinburgh Hotel on the 12th of September. One of us had the kangaroo and myself and another friend had the chicken schnitzel. To be honest we were disappointed with the chicken schnitzel. No longer is the hotel appearing to make their own but buying in ready made portion controlled schnitzel that appears just to be cooked on a grill rather than deep fried. The inevitable little salad was ok but edible as was the chips. A bit disappointing that the hotel is choosing to cheapen down one of the meals that is probably ordered 60% of the time. I think we would rather prefer a pub that makes its own schnitzels rather than buying in portion controlled pre-crumbed ones. You can easily tell from the images that these schnitzels are not cooked in the conventional way and are a bit too neat and well crumbed to be done in house. Very disappointing. Shared entrees of garlic bread and dips & warmed naan bread were fine. If we go back anytime soon, we definitely won't be ordering the schnitzels. We prefer something a bit more rustic rather than made in a factory.

I had the best time yesterday afternoon we arrived about 12pm. Not only is the venue beautiful it has a lovely relaxed, calming vibe. We sat outside in there gorgeous out door dinning area. They have a wide variety of Gins to select from and the two gentlemen who served my friend and I were very knowledgeable about the different varieties and what garnishes best accompanies each Gin. Based on the recommendation of one of the gentlemen who served me yesterday afternoon I had a Williams Pink Grapefruit Gin and Tonic with dried Chilli and Dried Pear. It was FANTASTIC! I absolutely loved it. I also ordered their Paprika Roasted Chicken, Chirizo, Chipotle, White Bean, Onion, Tomatoes and Patatas Bravas food dish and it was absolutely delicious. We had a great time and I highly recommend you enjoy an evening or afternoon here and give the mentioned Gin a try

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!!! ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!

From the get go this was a horrible experience. From calling in and asking the staff about a promotion, who had to ask numerous other staff members before coming back to the phone with a "ye it's on" response. When we arrived, we had asked 3 different staff members about the deal, who once again had no idea what we were talking about. I then showed the staff members their promotion, and also their Facebook and Instagram accounts where they posted only yesterday about the promotion, yet no one knew what we were talking about. Now, unfortunately that was not the worst of our experience. The MANAGER, who would normally try and assist with de-escalating the problem only caused more issues. My partner, my father in law, my mother in law and myself are all managers in different fields. Never have I ever experienced such disgusting behaviour from someone who is in management. The manager came over with an attitude, and then said "it's on, you can have your oysters" before coming over to OUR TABLE and telling my partner to calm down and "watch the way you speak to people" while rolling her eyes. My partner did not speak out of line once, he just asked about the promotion. When my partner responded in shock with "excuse me what", she proceeded to come back and have another go at him. Everyone else on the table was in shock. I have never ever ever experienced such behaviour from anyone in the service industry, let alone someone who was supposed to be in management. We didn't even wait for the promotion we paid for, and left as soon as we can. I am still in shock, and I am shaking with anger. We should of known our experience would be similar to this seeing as the car park was pretty much empty. Do not waste your time or your energy on this place. As for management, I would seriously consider the blonde managers position who wore a black and white coat on Friday 16/6/23. You do not speak to anyone like we were spoken to, let alone paying customers. To the manager who came and provoked customers, you should not be in the service industry. Owners and management, please consider who you have running your supposedly busy Friday nights as we were the only ones in the inside dining section for a reason. Also - perhaps maybe communicating with marketing and employees with promotions that were posted less than 24 hours ago would be a good idea, and maybe not coming up to customers tables when the issue had been rectified to instigate it would be a fantastic starting point. You know where you can put your oysters šŸ‘šŸ½

Edit: upon further investigation I discovered this person was the General manager. I can't fathom who would appoint such a person in this role. I think change of management and change of promotions is in...

Will not be going back to The Edinburgh Hotel. We booked for a special family occasion two weeks ago for last Sunday (Fathers Day) at 1pm. The day before they moved our booking to 1:30 via email rather than text or calling us so upon arrival we were unaware of our changed booking time. The staff were snappy about us being early despite our large (18 people) booking having been insufficiently informed less than 24 hours prior of the change. This was then followed by refusal to serve half our table until 1:30pm despite half having ordered already at the register as we were seated in what was apparently a "table-service" zone despite people having to walk past us to get to the register... We then proceeded to witness their extremely unprofessional manager yell at the staff member who served us. This is a toxic work environment and no hospitality worker deserved to be abused by their boss. The food was below average and over priced. They refused to make minor modifications for dietary requirements (just asked for chips instead of mash and veg to go on the side of a $40 steak!) Their gluten free menu is essentially non existent. They proceeded to sporadically bring out incorrect meals and multiple double ups, which the younger staff apologised for. Throughout this whole interaction the middle-aged blonde manager was profoundly rude towards us and never once apologised for the poor service and unorganised manner in which she ran the restaurant. After we all paid and double checked our order my husband then gets multiple phone-calls today about an unpaid bill... they have charged us for the double ups which we did not order and are refusing to discuss this with us. The bar-staff and beer was the best thing there. Not that we are going to go back after our experience but I'd need a lot more beer to get through it. Do not go there if you want a nice time with your family or a happy celebration. And if you are the owner, seriously fire your abusive manager your staff and customers...

A very disappointing experience celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Over the course of the day we had at least 4 waiters/waitresses servicing our table, so to have to mention to each and every one of them that one of the people on our table had coeliac disease was the first issue. The food wasn't too bad, steak was average, but overpriced for a pub. Three coffees were ordered, 2 were wrong, one was remade and came out wrong again, we then gave up! When we left we were charged another table's bill - $485, $46 over our bill, which was $430 for 5 adults and 2 kids (we each only had one drink). Went back in to advise them of the error and 20 minutes later we paid our own bill and the refund will arrive in a few days. Once we were home the person with coeliac disease was very ill all afternoon and half the next day, so somewhere along the line procedures weren't followed. When I checked our bill we were charged 2 service charges, one we expected as it was a Sunday, no clue about the other. Rang Monday to question it, they said they'd ring back. Rang again Tuesday, said they'd ring back again, eventually they did ring back, agreed the fee was wrong and at first was refusing to give me the refund, telling me I could come get a voucher for a coffee or two!! After some time the refund was put through, although it was only a small amount, so the customer service person felt like she had the upper hand they charged me a merchant fee of a few cents, which should normally be paid by the vendor. They were extremely reluctant to refund me the money they owed me, instead wanting me to take coffee vouchers. I had a copy of the bill for the other table that I originally paid for and they were overcharged as well. I just wonder how much the pub is making with these hidden extra fees, seems like a rort!!! Would not...
