One spare of the moment decision to visit the Lodge to for dinner made me unwell for three days. My partner and booked a table for 5.30 pm Sunday evening. Location and availability last minute was the deciding factor. We waited for a guy to finish his drink before he placed the glass behind the bar and took us to our table. I mentioned to my partner We should leave and I wish we did. My partner ordered the 400g rib eye MEDIUM RARE and I ordered the salt and pepper squid. Thinking the squid would be the safest option. After a long wait our meals arrived. I was less than impressed. My squid and chips were the same colour (old oil) you could smell and taste it. The salad was tasteless and chips so hot I couldn't eat. My partners steak was practically alive it was disgusting. Obviously the meat was thrown on the grill stone cold without resting to room temperature. Most of the steak was RARE and not once were we asked how our meal was. Upon leaving a young girl was standing near the exit/kitchen and didn't even say goodbye. Absolutely no customer service or care. To top it off as soon as I arrived home I was unwell and it continued for three days. Unless you have an iron gut and love a raw diet I'd advise dining elsewhere. Save your self and $$. Over priced and quality of food is poor.

Came here with a friend last night for dinner and was extremely disappointed, ordered our food and starters and then 45 minutes later still nothing had come out so went up to the counter to be told they had forgotten to give the docket to the kitchen with our orders, so would be a further 10 minute wait just for the starters, the young lady that had told us this was so rude, offering half price dessert or a free drink, told her that wasn’t good enough as we weren’t wanting dessert and obviously already had drinks.. her response was just “ok” and walked off. Our starters were foul, I ordered natural oysters and myself and my friend had one each and wouldn’t touch the rest they were quite obviously old and not fresh at all, not to mention they were warm - natural oysters should be cold. Then our mains came out. Pork belly, which we barely touched as 70% of it was FAT. Will never be returning here again. Horrible food and horrible service.

A decent pub with ample parking space. Its clear the pub has had a recent redesign and the booths in the bistro area are a nice choice. The drinks were well priced and the beef schnitzels we had were tasty. However, the menu pricing is varied. Entrees are rather expensive and asking for $7 additional for toppings are quite steep. We were also sat by a table with older clientele that were very loud and disruptive. Staff, for the most part, were inviting. However it's clear that they give preference to returning customers. Overall, a pleasurable experience. Will trying coming back with a small group for just drinks.

i had the scotch and it was cooked to perfection, honestly one of the best meals i’ve had in a long time. the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing – so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you every time. you can have a proper conversation with them and they make the whole place feel inviting. then there’s the american girl behind the bar, who was the exact opposite. she clearly had no idea how to pour a beer – one came out flat with no head and the other all foam, and she didn’t even try to fix them. another young girl had to fix my beer for me because the american girl didn’t know how to pour it properly, and she was way more lovely than the american girl. on top of that, the american girl was rude, dismissive, coughing everywhere, snotty, and i didn’t see her wash her hands once after blowing her nose. honestly, she shouldn’t be working in hospitality at all. the food and the rest of the team were perfect, but her attitude and lack of basic skills completely ruined what should have been a great experience. she should not be working in hospitality full stop, especially if she doesn’t know how to...

On Saturday the 8th, I had my 23rd birthday at the lodge. I was very excited as I hadn’t seen my friends in a while due to covid-19. Thankfully my night was a success...no thanks to the lodge. When I arrived my dinner booking wasn’t set with menus. I had to specifically request them even though they knew it was a sit down dinner. I was given a few, not enough for everyone in my party. I also noticed no music. I requested the speakers to be turned on twice in an hour, before they told me they weren’t working and ‘allowed’ me to go home and get a Bluetooth speaker. Apart form this the staff were very aggressive and rude when informing us about the covid restrictions that we were already abiding by. When I booked this space they were informed I wanted to have after dinner drinks and didn’t bother to tell me they would close their bar only 2.5 hours after my booking started? When in the past they have closed at midnight. Overall I had a lovely time. But not due to my experience with the lodge, due to my amazing friends. I would not recommend booking a function here if you want good vibes and...
