We had a fantastic experience dining at Tiki’s Thai Cuisine. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. There was barely any wait time once we ordered, and the menu had an abundance of choices, which made it exciting (and a little difficult!) to narrow down our selections. Here’s what we tried:
🍤 Entrées:
Vegetable Spring Rolls – $14 These were your classic spring rolls—nothing groundbreaking—but they were crispy, fresh, and tasty. A safe and familiar way to start the meal, and we appreciated that they were well done.
Salt and Pepper Calamari – $21 Again, nothing fancy or unexpected here, just your usual salt and pepper calamari. The texture was decent and flavour was balanced, but it didn’t particularly stand out. Still enjoyable as part of the starter spread.
⸻
🍛 Main Dishes (Where things really shone!):
Tiki Fried Rice – $25.50 This dish had a nice balance of savoury and sweet thanks to the pineapple, prawns, and subtle spices. The vibrant yellow rice had great texture and flavour, and the portion size was generous. A crowd-pleaser for sure.
BKK Spicy Pad Thai – $28.50 A bold twist on the classic Pad Thai. It had a spicy kick that made it really exciting to eat, without being overwhelming. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the toppings—crushed peanuts, lemon wedge, bean sprouts—added great texture and freshness.
Massaman Beef Curry – $30.50 This was a definite standout. The beef was so tender it just melted in your mouth, and the curry was rich, creamy, and comforting. The addition of cashews added that extra bit of crunch and depth. Absolutely loved it.
Tamarind Duck – $32 The duck was cooked just right—crispy skin, tender meat, and the tamarind sauce brought a sweet and tangy contrast that made the dish pop. Served with bok choy, it was well-balanced and beautifully plated.
Deep Fried Barramundi with Green Apple Salad – $38 Crispy on the outside and flaky inside, the barramundi was delicious. But the real surprise was the green apple salad—fresh, zesty, and a perfect contrast to the rich fish. We appreciated the staff’s recommendation for the sauce—it did not disappoint.
Thai Basil Eggplant Twist – (Price not noted, but was a favourite!) This one caught me by surprise—in the best way. The eggplant was silky and soaked up all the basil-garlic sauce beautifully, while the minced pork made it hearty and savoury. A real comfort dish and one of my personal favourites.
Ka Na Moo Krob (Crispy Pork Belly with Broccoli) – $32 The pork belly was incredibly crispy, with just the right amount of fat-to-meat ratio. Combined with the greens and savoury sauce, it was full of umami and balanced out the other dishes well.

🎂 Other Highlights:
We brought our own cake to celebrate a birthday, and the staff were so accommodating. They brought it out at the perfect time, even joined in the singing, and helped make it feel extra special.
The service overall was excellent—attentive, warm, and informative, especially when helping us decide on dishes like the barramundi topping.
🚗 Location & Seating:
Tiki’s has a private carpark out the back, and there’s also plenty of street parking available. The space we dined in fits around 20 people, and the staff shared that there’s another room they plan to merge in future—which is great news because this place deserves to be packed.
⸻
⭐ Final Thoughts:
While the entrées were pretty standard, the mains absolutely stole the show. Every dish was full of flavour, cooked perfectly, and served with care. It’s honestly hard to pick a favourite, but the Massaman Beef Curry and Thai Basil Eggplant Twist were next-level.
We’ll definitely be back—Tiki’s Thai Cuisine is a local gem worth returning to...
Read moreI’d like to eat here - pity they don’t know how to use Uber or answer the phone!
I’ve attempted to order here 3 times, and all three times I have not received any food.
The first time I tried to order via the phone. After attempting to get through for over half an hour (I gave them some grace as it was a Saturday) I simple gave up as the phone was just not answered at all.
The second time I used Uber Eats to order a pick up. After waiting 45 minutes, I got in my car and headed to pick it up at the designated time. Just as I was about 5 minutes away, my order was randomly cancelled. Again I tried to call and find out what was going on and no one answered. I had to follow up my order and refund through Uber.
This brings me to this evening. I tried to order one more time via Uber (after no one answered the phone again). My order when straight to ready literally a minute after placing the order. I tried to get in contact with the restaurant to find out that was going on but obviously couldn’t so had to cancel again through Uber as I wasn’t going to waste my time travelling there again.
