First of all on arrival 'on a Wednesday too' this place was already booked out which we didn't know obviously and I did try to ring the day before but couldn't get through so highly recommend pre booking this Italian Indian infusion experience.. Having said that the waitress was able to work out a solution to enable us to dine in which I thought was quite a surprise and left me feeling extremely grateful. NOW This place!!!!! Wow omg 'holy what the!!' I'm gonna work this backwards and start with the desert 'the Gulab' because it was my favourite of the night. At first i was like ok never heard of it or tried it but I'm game first taste ok interesting, different by the end of it I wanted more and even though I was so full I just didn't want it to end. For our main we decided on getting the 'fusion banquet' it costs $45 per person so not cheap but in actual fact I left feeling it was great value because what your paying for here isn't just a meal, it's the chance to taste many dishes you've never tried before and also a couple you probably have in a unique Italian Indian infusion burst of flavour. And backtracking again to the starters, they really get ur taste buds going in preparation for what's coming the Lamb kebab, Malai tikka and Onion bhaji all have there own hit of infused flavour to get u curious of what's to come. So it goes without saying I highly recommend the Tikka Talian. I'll...

We were there on a Saturday night. Plenty of people there. Which is always a good sign. Plenty of people getting take away.

We dined in. To start with the service was great. Water out. Plates and cutlery out. Order no worries.

Food came out. It was all delicious and well presented. Chicken was good quality. Prawns that I had were hit and miss. Some large and some small chewy ones 🙃. No corkage here. Which I think is strange. From The River Cafe to Vintners, they all have corkage. So wasn't wrapped. We were celebrating and had a special bottle with us.

It was hard to book. The phone rings out with no answering service. The mobile phone number given is incorrect. So not easy.

The atmosphere was nice. But I do think tables could have table clothes and paper. The tables are a bit average.

We were looking forward to dessert. But it seems staff had lost track and were wondering around aimlessly. Disappointing. Your loss!!

Dinner cost $87- Pappudoms & mint sauce. Chicken Tikka masala. Prawns Korma. Rata. Rice. 2 x beers...

Very welcoming and attentive waitress. Ordered the Goan fish curry, all 3 of us ordered naan bread. What arrived was 3 6-inch round pancakes, smothered in oil, not the large breads that we all expected. Questioned the waitress, she insisted these were naan breads, offered no explanation or alternative. My fish curry had a delicious sauce, but the fish was way overcooked. The chapatti "naan" wasn't enough to eat the sauce, so I barely touched the meal. The waitress, who had been attentive so far, never came near to ask how the food was. When my friends had finished their meals, she came to clear up the dishes. When I complained, politely about the fish, she said one word, "sorry", and brought us the full bill. I think it must have been the Italian chef on duty that night. We all went home hungry, and will never...

This is it! Since the time we moved to Australia; we were always asked - where's the best place to eat Indian food? What's the closest to the food you get at home? This is it. Not just the food; the ambiance, the warmth, the everything. Tikka Talian is set in a 200 year old bungalow and run by a family with love in their heart. They have taken the heritage of the home and mixed it with their own heritage to make a salad bowl of brilliance. Do not miss this! We've practically eaten everything on the menu but if you want the taste of India - Go for the Malai Tikka, Pappadam Platter, Goat Curry and Naan. For thre vegos, don't leave out the Daal Tadka with Peas Pilaf. From this point on, we eat Indian here. Wish the owners the best in life. Cheers!
