We visited here on Friday for a late lunch. I have not been there for a number of years - in fact, it was with the previous owners when I did. I must admit I was blown away by how lovely everything looked. So beautifully renovated and decorated. Loved the Canadian touches - as did our Canadian friends when we sent photos while we talked and waited for our food. We have had take away pizzas in the last twelve months and ordered them again. They were as good as we expected - freshly made, lots of lovely toppings and the crusts just right. The Cheesy toast and Yam fries were perfect. I would have to say their fries are worth the visit alone. They are the best ever! As it was a special occasion (we farewelled her daughter who is returning to Townsville) we shared a Xango for dessert. Wow! White chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla, deep fried and sprinkled in cinnamon sugar was amazing. Very yummy and recommend sharing as it was very rich in taste! My husband is not a cheesecake fan and he opted for dessert from the selection of cakes and pastries. He chose a passionfruit slice and was very impressed. Both desserts were served with ice cream. Now I need to return to try out their coffee. And I am sure there will be another dessert that tempts me as well. Highly recommend this little restaurant. The staff are friendly, service was quick. It was a delight all round.

Every time we travel north of Brisbane we make sure we go to the most unique cafe that combines traditional Canadian food with a little bit of Australian cuisine. Although their pizzas are one many items on the menu, they are a clear stand out, and I can honestly say they are better than any Italian restaurant you could go to. They have a huge and diverse range of fun items on the menu, I can hand on heart say that over 10 time that I’ve been, never had a bad meal. If this restaurant was in any capital city, there would be a line at the door. This little gem is about 5 mins outside of Childers, and 30 from Bundaberg.

Amazing!! I’m Canadian and passed through on my way up to cairns and lemme tell you! I was waiting for this one. I’ve been missing Caesar’s since I left canada and was finally able to have a real Caesar! With REAL Clamato! Nothing like it. My partner and I also had to grab a poutine and some wings to share, they also did not disappoint. The service here is friendly and super welcoming, chatted away with us the whole time! On my way back down I’ll definitely be stopping in again, I recommend you do the same!

I recently visited Mollydookers with high expectations, my dining experience fell far short of what I had hoped for. As a foodie, I strive to provide honest feedback, and I feel compelled to share my disappointing encounter.

Upon arrival, the ambiance and decor at Mollydookers were impressive, raising my anticipation for the meal to come. However, as time went on, it became evident that the restaurant's service was severely lacking. Despite making a reservation well in advance, my wait for food exceeded 45 minutes, which is unacceptable considering the size of the establishment. What was even more frustrating was observing larger tables that ordered after me being served their meals first. It was disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for order and fairness.

To make matters worse, when my food finally arrived, it was disappointingly cold. I understand that restaurants can experience busy periods, but that should never compromise the quality of the food served. As a foodie, I have dined at numerous establishments, and I firmly believe that even during peak hours, a kitchen should strive to maintain consistency and ensure the meals are served hot and fresh.

Regrettably, when I politely mentioned my concerns to the person at the counter after paying, hoping to provide constructive feedback, I was met with a defensive and dismissive response. I had no intention of seeking a discount or causing a scene; I simply wanted to share my observations in the hope that they would improve their service and uphold their reputation.

Given the premium prices charged at Mollydookers, I expected a superior dining experience. Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling underwhelmed and dissatisfied. For the price, I believe that even the simplest dishes, like sliders, should be executed flawlessly.

While I understand that every establishment can have off days, the combination of slow service, cold food, and an unprofessional response to feedback leaves me hesitant to recommend Mollydookers. I sincerely hope that they take this review constructively and make the necessary improvements to ensure a more consistent and enjoyable dining experience for...

Pretty annoyed and disappointed. Phoned order for pizza and grilled fish ahead and the lady who took our order suggested we come in for a drink and to stretch our legs while we waited for our order - as we were on a long trip and just calling in to get dinner on our way to Bundy so we could feed our little boys as it was tea time. We thought that sounded great! We chose a table but having sat for the past 3 hours in the car we chose to stand at our table to stretch our legs. The male staff brought a couple in who looked around at a few empty tables and then told the man they wanted to sit at the table we were at. He came over and asked us to move. I mentioned we were just waiting for our drinks but I was looked at incredulously and when the ‘crickets’ started to sound making us feel awkward we just moved. Our drinks were brought to us and my Mojito was served in a tall glass. I had specifically requested a short glass, and the waitress apologised and said that wasn’t told to her and she started to leave. I kindly asked to have the drink remade as we were just calling in for a drink while our take away pizzas and fish were made and would be leaving shortly, in addition I had a medical condition which doesn’t allow me to have such a large beverage. The look on her face as she left with the drink wasn’t pleasant. The drink came back sans alcohol. Pineapple juice and mint in a short glass. I asked my husband to taste it as I couldn’t believe I was given a replacement drink minus the alcohol. Hubby didn’t taste any either. When I asked another really nice lady later who remade the drink I was told it was the male manager. I then told her it had no alcohol in it, and she offered a refund which I appreciated but declined. Pizzas were great, opened my meal to have the grilled fish and it was crumbed and deep fried 😒🙄 Our two portions of apple coleslaw were inedible. Won’t be going back. Service was TERRIBLE. Gave 2 stars for the great pizza. -0...
