Romenia Restaurant and Pizza Bar ( Takeaway Restaurant ) — Restaurant in Barwon South West

We've been so used to having to drive to Minerva Rd for takeaway food options that it took us a while to discover Romenia.

It's amazing to have such an fantastic quality pizza place on McCurdy Rd at last. I don't want to open a can of worms, but in my opinion, Romenia makes the best pizzas I've had since moving to Geelong 12 years ago.

The bases are just the right mix of crunchy crust and softer base, the toppings are generous without being over the top, the amount of cheese suits me perfectly.

The combinations of ingredients range from the standards (capricciosa, Hawaiian) to imaginative and interesting combinations that display a proper chef's appreciation of what ingredients will go well together and avoids some of the sillier combinations of other places.

Prices are reasonable, economical, with combination deals that work really well.

As well as pizza, they do pasta and garlic bread, and all the desired takeaway items for hungry lunchtime tradies - burgers, schnitzels, fish and chips, chicken strips ...and salads.

Staff are friendly, always happy to see you and say hi, but efficient with it.

I walked into this store with a hope that Herne Hill had gotten a new takeaway shop that serves quality food. The lady that served me was on the phone while taking my order, (i ordered the cheese chips) and she said it would be a 10 minute wait. 25 minutes later of sitting in the uncomfortable shopfront whilst the two workers were taking turns yelling on the phone, i got my food. Absolutely disgusting. Both the chips and the cheese were burnt, and the chips tasted like theyd been microwaved. If youre serving frozen foods at least make them quality. I would say Romenia is one of, if not the best pizza places within geelong. The pizzas are perfect, their menu is STACKED!!! and their prices are fantastic for what you get. $22 for a family size pizza that it's absolutely massive?? Yeah that's perfect.

Even a medium pizza is perfect for anyone, also $14? The prices are fantastic. I have not had their other items but I'm excited to try!!
