Most important thing to note- BOOK AHEAD TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

A family of British people on a road trip to Sydney, we decided to detour to the waterfalls. The night before we stopped at a local motel and a resident there recommended we pay this cafe a visit. He said the breakfast there is particularly great (always peaks our interest!!) so we set off first thing in the morning.

Since the weather was rubbish we were very surprised to see the cafe so busy especially for 8:30am on a Sunday morning. We were so grateful that the team managed to find us a table (with the understanding we need to be finished by ten which was when they had a reservation coming in for our table!) (so grateful as about ten mins after we arrived, another family of the same size arrived and were turned away! Sorry to that family if you read this 😂)

All of us were incredibly impressed with our breakfasts and drinks. I wish we could have experienced their lunch menu too but unfortunately we were just passing quickly!

The grounds and other businesses on the site were wonderful to browse and walk around, we bought a few bits to take home with us too.

An absolute must visit for anyone staying in or passing through the area. At your table (If outside) you will be greeted by the local birds which the locals may find irritating, but as an out of towner we almost certainly welcomed. (And my one year old loved)

Absolutely pay the waterfalls a visit too if you have time!

We’ve been in Australia for a month, sailed the Whitsundays, sky dived in Sydney, yet this little pitstop is up there with one of the absolute highlights of our...

Stopped on Monday 25 October at approximately 10:30 for a quick snack and coffee on our way home to the Northern Rivers. As we were travelling with our caravan it was great that there was specific parking for caravans provided. We ordered take away coffee and Vego Burger. Firstly, we were very impressed by the service despite the fact that they were quite busy. The coffee was exactly as we ordered and easily the best of many coffees we have had during this trip. The Vego Burger however was simply superb it is probably the best burger I have ever had. I was a bit worried about having a burger with no meat but that fear was definitely unnecessary as it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes when my wife and I stop for meals during our many trips we come away thinking that we just waisted our time and money. Not this time we enjoyed the entire experience and will make sure that this is now our main stop on our many trips through to Armidale. A big thank you to the staff at the Old Butter Factory. Date of experience:...

Went with a large group of motorcycle enthusiasts. The cafe service coped well with correct items delivered. The time from order to service was also well within expectations for customer service delivery. Their is plenty of parking especially if you look to the Eastern side as most people park on the Western side next to the Golf Club. They have adequate public amenities that are usually found in a clean stocked manner. A part from the Cafe a good number of artisans display locally produced crafts such as leather work. Painting & sketches. Glass work is another locally produced product. The other shops include a local gallery's rotating displays. Imported specialised works of art to decorate the home are available. A massage service also operates but I would suggest you phone beforehand to ensure an appointment on arrival. A number of shops are available for rental. The grounds provide a leafy cool venue for summer while the winters ate mild but the cafe and shops provide a cosy interior for eating...

The scones were freshly baked, soft and slightly cripsy on the outside. Amazing!
