Beverley Bakehouse Cafe — Restaurant in Beverley

We have gone round the whole of Australia with only a day or two left when we decided to make a pit stop in Beverley for a coffee. We weren’t holding out much hope as our daily coffees for the past 2 weeks or so had either been too hot or too bitter. We were pleasantly surprised that our flat whites on this occasion were not only a very nice flavour but drinkable too!

We also shared a sausage roll - now we’re from the UK and missing greggs. I have to say that this place had the BEST sausage roll I have had on my whole 3+ month trip. The meat was lovely (not quite greggs), not too seasoned as I have had on the trip but very pleasant. The pastry won it for me. It was bang on, buttery, smooth and nice and flaky with a delicate crisp.

If you are planning a visit to Beverley, whether it is short or long stay, make sure to add this place to your route, you will NOT be disappointed.

P.S. I was going to go in and get one of their cheese sausage rolls after but there were about 6 people who went in after us and I also remembered that there was a $10 minimum...

Phenomenal bakery! I love coming here and have done so for the last year. I come here to experience genuine service that stretches far beyond what we normally experience in Perth. It’s an old school well executed bakery menu with all the classics, made by hand, daily.

I have been blown away by their attention to detail and service multiple times. Examples include rounding down the total bill or even helping me out when I drop food on the flood by mistake 😂.

8/4/22: I've been to this bakery a few times over the years and it is always good value. The pies and sausage rolls are excellent and my friends always make a point of walking down for a coffee and jam donut on a Saturday morning. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a shame that it is not open late Saturday afternoon and Sunday as it would be a real attraction for the town....
