Bodalla Pub — Restaurant in Bodalla

Nice enough place but WOW DONT EAT THERE!

We went on a Saturday night, there were about 15 people there. A table of about 10 people ordered before us. We waited more than 1.5 hours for 3 meals. And with 7 yo ya just can't wait that long. Food was on the low side of average - absolutely not worth waiting for, particularly not 1.5 hours. One of the bar staff was a bit more mature was good at the job and apologetic about the food. The other was about 18, condescending, rude and seemed aggrieved that I was unhappy to wait so long for food.

Probably ok for an arvo beer, otherwise AVOID!

I understand it's difficult in the hospitality industry, I'm also aware its very tough to find cooks on Yuin country, particularly with all that's going on in Naroma. But to be clear, your kitchen didn't serve 75 while I was there - it was 13, including the 3 in my party. 1.5 hours wait in those circumstances is pretty bad, no matter what. I will send any cooks I know your way when they're looking for work, but you'd probably do better to invest in young local people looking for work and training.

I Jo & my mate Dazza had the best, most wonderful, friendly time at the Bodalla Arms. I've never felt so welcome anywhere else! The food was BETTER than home cooked. Michelle & hubby work their butt's off to accommodate ANYTHING ANY PATRON WANTS/NEEDS! !! The ONLY pitfall was their inability to PLAY MUSIC, WATCH TV IN OUR ROOM! Due to a revolting neighbor who has somehow stopped them from even having a dam jukebox! ! Yet on Saturday 10th March, she had a "get together" & the loudness of her guests was the ONLY thing that spoiled our night. If you want an extremely homely POSITIVELY welcoming experience from Michelle & Nick, then treat yourself to a night (& All day) excellent atmosphere! ! I will be back & have already told my friends where to stay at THE BODALLA ARMS HOTEL! The rooms have historic artifacts, even a guzunder! Thanx guys, you both deserve 5 stars. A really great pub. Bodalla is small town but this pub is as good as any you'd find in bigger towns. The menu is extensive and the lunch specials at $12 Mon-Fri, are ridiculously good. My chicken burger came with avocado, bacon, cheese and they don't skimp on quality, using breast chicken with a crunchy coating + fat chips to boot! So tasty. You'll also find the usual parma, steaks, fish and chips. Expect a decent meal here. If you sit inside, you can still get magical views of the mountains. On a warmer day, there's also beer garden to relax in as well. Both locals and tourists are happy...
