Very disappointed with the service at Subway in OTR Bordertown. I ordered two footlong subs – one falafel (since they were out of veggie patty) and one veggie with avocado. Halfway through the order, I was told they had run out of avocado. Fair enough – but when it came time to pay, I was still charged for the avocado.
I questioned this politely, but the staff member (Alina) refused to remove the charge. Another team member (Callum) even tried to explain it to her, but she wouldn’t listen. She insisted on charging full price even though the order wasn’t made as requested. No apology, no customer care.
I asked to speak to the manager, only to be told the manager is based in Millicent. To make things more confusing, the receipt had a different name on it (Andrea), so I’m not even sure who actually served me.
Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Poor communication, no accountability, and no respect for the customer. Charging for items not provided is just wrong. Won’t...

He said he wanted to buy a subway in Bordertown. When my husband returned to Adelaide and he stopped at Bp Bordertown at 9pm to buy food at Bordertown SUBWAY they were still open and were serving 1 customer and my husband was waiting for his turn to be served by the subway worker, my husband was waiting because there was another person being served in front of him, there were only two customers my husband and the man being served by the SUBWAY worker, when was my husband's turn. The lady told him we were closed, My husband even asked the worker, I am an interstate driver, can you make it one for me and the worker said NO. My husband was angry and upset like the worker (SHE) had no sympathy and moreover it was not a big deal serving another only one customer and why didn't she tell him earlier when my husband got in and waiting for his turn. Read moreTonight’s service was fantastic Misty you are amazing you customers service is fantastic with a line up of 10+ people and online orders coming came in Misty explained so politely that she had no choice but to do the online orders coming first she explained she was the only staff on at subway and we would just have to wait. She did the so patiently and pushed on yes we had to wait over 30 minutes for our turn but she did a fantastic job. Maybe upper management need to look at putting more staff on so this doesn’t happen to work your staff this hard under the pump will cause work place burn out.
