Boronia Brew — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Most delicious bacon, egg and cheese muffin I've had that wasn't from McDonalds. The chef uses a scramble egg which I was a little dubious about at first, but I had just drove my son over an hour from the Gold Coast so he could attend his weekly Cert II class, and when I left the house at 5.50am, I hadn't eaten or made a coffee. Rookie mistake. By the time I got to Boronia Brew I had a hankering for a bacon and egg muffin, and that scrambled egg wasn't putting me off my mission. OMG. It was everything I was hoping it would be, and the scrambled egg is actually a touch of genius as it means that every bite has the same yummy flavour, is (dare I say) moist, fresh muffin, perfectly cooked bacon a generous amount without throwing out the balance, and the sauce was perfect. 👌🏼 I legit had to stop myself from going back to ask for another! Seperate to my bne muffin romance, the greeting and service we received was genuine from all, even the gentleman that I tried to order from, who was only there at the time to fix a shelf on the bain marie. Haha. He apologised, had a laugh with me and communicated with a staff member (they wear a uniform lol) who politely finished up with their current customer and came to serve me. She was genuinely friendly and connected with my son and I over payment. The final stage, was picking up my (dirty) oat chai latte from the barista. Again, this did not disappoint. Genuinely friendly hand off of coffee as I praised the quality of their food I was already stuffing in my face, and as I had my first sip walking to my car, I thought that everyone could see the absolute joyful satisfaction that was on my face. It is delicious, smooth, creamy and exactly what I ordered. Even as I write this review from my car in the parking lot, I keep sipping this coffee/chai which remains perfectly dreamy. I don't usually write reviews, though happy to give stars.. and I don't usually drive my son all the way up here, he generally catches the train and I give him $30 for his Uber to and from there to make the travel a little shorter for him being only 16. Today is my day off, and I decided it was better value all round to drive him up, spend the day at the GOMA by myself and drive him home. Maybe I should take Tuesdays off EVERY week! 🤔🤤🥓🥚🧀☕️💳

NB/ most of Boronia Brew's clientele know from regular patronage that they are EFTPOS ONLY. I'm unsure why they don't accept cash, however, from experience working with a beer brewery, cash requires a difference license/insurance?? And also requires a strict banking policy on site, as well as staff time to process and bank. In today's climate, as much as we may want cash to be king, sometimes we need to respect that it's already tough enough for small businesses trying to cover costs across the board without making the service they provide, too expensive to be competitive. Another dime in dozen lost to shrink flation. Chips used to be 4.50 for large then they increased prices to 6.50 and decreased the large size to the small size and made the small size a tiny paper bag. I mean it's chips!! They are literally made of potatoes. Get a whole 1kg bag at woolies...

Quick, easy, fresh, tasty and well priced for the current financial climate. Who cares anyway when the price is relevant for a whole package dining experience? I was recommended this cafe for their food quality, and held up to its glowing review. Well done...
