Carby's Bakehouse — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I don’t know who served her but this bakery gave my niece the WRONG CAKE after she ordered it ahead of time for pickup the next day. And she didn’t know (because she trusted this business) until she got to work (all the way in the city). When she found out, she called back to say that the cake was wrong and they asked HER to bring it back even though it was THEIR mistake. The cake was apparently needed for another customer. She was 15mins from starting work so to go back to the bakery and then go back to work would make her late for her job (which she was… by half an hour!) Did the bakery offer to pick it up from her because it was their mistake and they needed it? No. Did they offer a refund for her trouble?? No. Just some measly pastries. So instead my niece had to do their job for them, call her own supervisors (who had to lie for her) to allow her to be late and waste her money on fuel. The pie was horrific. Plain flavouring and the pastry was extremely dry. I would never go here again. The pie should not taste like there is mould on it if it is that pricey! Bad customer service, and no one likes that one lady named Narrel. It took way too long for the pie to be ready and I can't imagine people eating this food! Shame on you! There are signs clearly stating the covid requirements to 1) sign in 2) wear a mask to be served. In the last week I have been to the shop twice and on both occassions experienced where the young males have neither signed in or had face masks on. So the owners have several choices - 1) remove the signs 2) train and support the staff so they feel confident to address the non conformists 3) have the rules changed.
