I almost don’t want to rate it too highly or else everyone will find out about this great little spot. Beers are icy cold the burgers are honest to goodness unpretentious fresh and tasty. The fitout is exactly what you want on an island to make you feel like you are away from it all. Tough to get to. Make sure you aim to drive back at around low tide. Make sure you check your route on a map if you are coming by boat. Plenty of sandbars to get stuck on. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Food isn't anything to write home about (castaways is a million times better). The chicken burger was terrible and the beef want great either. Fresh oysters every day though we arrived too early. Parking is ample and it's across the road from the beach. Staff were super nice both times we visited. The bar does accept card payment and had a really nice vibe. It's just a shame the food is below average.

Top spot at the southern end of Moreton Island... This layed back indoor/outdoor bar has cold beer and seafood lunches that hit the spot. Really fun adventure getting here and it was worth it to have a cold beer and sea food after five days camping in the bush. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the platter but was disappointed everything was covered in batter and a bit greasy, was hoping for fresh seafood but I suppose it is pub grub after all.

The Gutter Bar at Karringal is a great spot. We've been there four times now (4WD access to Karringal). Staff, service & seafood are always top-notch. We love it and go there every visit we have to Tangalooma now (Moreton Island). For once in your life you WON'T be disappointed. 😀

Always enjoy my visits to the Gutter Bar. Steak burgers are awesome. Bar is well stocked, the service is friendly and timely. Great experience overall.
