Iâm not sure how this bakery had the customers that it did, perhaps the fact itâs a small town and thereâs no where else to go? It certainly wasnât the quality of the food. We got a âfreshâ chicken cheese salad roll and a crumbed chicken salad roll, both had soggy bread bottoms. And the crumbed chicken tenders were dry. The cheese was plastic processed cheese (probably the best part). The wrapping on the rolls wasnât the greatest but if they were fresh rolls it wouldnât have been such an issue. These ended up getting thrown to the birds, who also wouldnât eat them. We also bought a back up sausage roll, canât go wrong right? Wrong! The sausage inside the roll was mushy and had an uncooked look and texture. This went in the bin. I did purchase a bag of lollies which we settled on to be our lunch. Allenâs pythonsâŚ.umm. Not sure how old these were but they were going hard and were starting to go white. 𤢠Drinks werenât overly cold either. Service was alright, young chap mumbled and pointed to where I could self grab the sauces from, in the end grabbed them for me. Guy at the register was ok too. No one was overly bubbly or chatty, but im ok with that.
Side note; after we made the lunch purchase we were advised by others in the community that we should have gone to the petrol station instead. Apparently they have better...
Read moreBeen there several times in the last couple of months. Hoping it would improve but everytime we go, there is always some let down. Sausage rolls are so salty. The steak pie was only half full with only 4 or so bits of meat. My daughter wouldnât eat her mince pie due to fat and gristle making it unpleasant to eat. The coffee puff- the cream tasted off and itâs like they tried to cover it by putting more coffee flavour but that made it so unpleasant. The eclair- the cream had turned and couldnât eat it. And the big no no for me was the pre made meal- lasagna had a sour taste, discovered they stuck a fresher date over an old date and kept it on the shelf. Can seriously make someone sick. Considering weâve thrown away more than we ate. Unfortunately, canât support local anymore. You have had enough...
Read moreWill never enter their shop again. Last sunday had them pull down the doors in my face, an hour before closing time. Four other cars turned up, no service. I asked through the glass, "whats up?" he asked what I wanted to buy, and it obviously wasnt a big enough purchase ie chocolates, to bother to reopen the doors. I would say they would have had about 80 dissastisfied customers, hope they didnt travel too far to get their bread and milk. As for trying to buy wine and chocolates the next day, never been so embarrassed in my life. Had the lady ask me personal medical information, or she refused to serve me. Never going there again, and I live...
