We were driving from Dubbo to Newcastle. In the middle, we got a flat tyre. That was a Sunday. Our road assistant gave us a tow and a taxi. However, we waited and waited, and the taxi did not come. We found that we were stuck there. It was getting dark and cold. It's too much to our 7-year-old. We were desperate there and searched the surrounding bars and hotels. Most of them were closed, the Royal Hotel Cassilis was one of them. However, we were so desparate and gave it a call. Through the call, we could feel that Erika had already rested. But after knowing our situation, Erika and Sean drove to us and brought us back to the hotel. They provided a living area with cakes and hot water for us to wait. We were saved! Thanks to Erika and Sean. We can't use our words to express our appreciation. We really hope that such kind people can live in peace and joy. Our kid and we will never forget that night, the kind people we met, the warm room that we sat in, and the peaceful little village where the hotel was. All these form a peaceful scene that will forever exist...
Read moreOn saturday the 12th of feb 2022. 50 of us had been pre booked for lunch at $25 a head which is $1250.00 we put over the bar as well as drinks for 50 people. The food that came out was appalling we were given tiny baskets of chips to share among 50 people. These disguisting hard baguettes ,as well as raw chicken pieces which we sent back to the kitchen and still frozen prawn cutlets. After forking out $1250.00 we expected more half the people got absolutly nothing. So i guess you ppl were all about the profit. There was no covid safe practices adhered to. It was the best I had ever had and in a small country town this was very unexpected complements to the chef ! my partner had the steak chips and veggies and she virtually licked the plate clean and she is very fussy about her food and generally hard to please ! The beer was cold and crisp & the service was warm & friendly .
