Unfortunately, there was an issue with another customers order while I was there. The staff were rude, and not very helpful. Staff complaining that they shut at 7 and the customer shouldn't come and order near closing time. If your hungry you get food. If your in business, you supply food. Every customer counts. I had butterfish and chips. It was ok.... But something hard/crunchier in the sauce or batter. It filled me up but I wouldn't come again for the same meal. Oh, but they have a upstairs balcony with table and chairs...I think I would like to sit there and watch the Sun set. :)

Really delicious and well-priced food. We visited on a Monday with the intention of getting oysters but were informed that the oysters wouldn't be delivered until the next day. That wasn't a problem for us as we still really enjoyed the seafood basket and returned the next day for our oyster fix. All seafood was fresh and very tasty but the prawns and OysterBarn Mornay oysters were especially outstanding. Also by far the best chips I've had on my travels around South Australia. The man serving us was really friendly. Highly recommend here when you're visiting Ceduna.

At first glance I thought how can this place be so highly rated for its food, however as they say if the locals eat there its probably ok! I am so glad we did eat here, on the roof deck, which was quite quirky and a little scary as the wind was occasionally gusting through, it is quite safe though and we will definitely do it again when we are back in the area. Between us we had a fishermans basket for one, which was huge and amazing and a fresh grilled fish burger also so yummy. It is right on the highway and definitely worth stopping at.

The food was fresh and well cooked, very enjoyable. My real compliant is value for money; it is very expensive for what you get. A 'two person' basket was a one person basket (no, l don't eat too much), go down to Baldy's and get 1dz freshly shucked oysters for $16!

I wouldn't normally respond to the response of the establishment (as l hsve my say and they have theirs which is fair enough) - however... the response was, disingenuous at best. The basket was promoted to us as feeding two, this might not be on written on the menu however that WAS how it was promoted to us. Regardless, it was very expensive for what it was and seriously, if l was unhappy with the price charged for quantity given, why oh why would you suggest l spend even MORE when on what was ogiginally provided l would only expect to be disapointed again?? As l said quality really great, value for money...

December of 2022 had several dozen oysters with bacon and a special sauce. They were all delicious. Unfortunately, the special sauce oysters were not on offer Nov.2023 so tried Kilpatricks, garlic and cheese and the mornay. At $29.80 a dozen I did not expect broken shell in the Kilpatricks. 95% had bits of broken shell mixed in with each oyster. I showed the young male who took my order all the broken shells and he simply said “Oh sorry about that”. The fish burgers $16 ea were ok but were barely thicker than the crispy crumbs. The seafood basket for 2 at $40 was expensive but nice. After spending close to $100 on each of 2 days I thought a dozen clean complementary oysters thrown in would have left 2...

My husband & I went for tea & ate in the quaint dining room which has a special ambience. We ordered 1 dozen oysters, half natural & half mornay which my husband absolutely enjoyed. Im not a big oyster fan but I had 3 oysters mornay & they were fresh & melt in the mouth. For our main we ordered an individual meal for 1 which included 2 George Whiting fish fillets, a battered prawn, a battered oyster & squid with crispy crunchy chips, taerare sauce & a slice of lemon. They even gave us real cultery & it included a soft drink each. Without a doubt it was the freshest, tastiest & lightly battered seafood Ive ever had. This was on Thursday 11th September 2025. I would recommend eating at the...
