If your out and about near Wharton Beach or Duke of Earl beach doing a touristy day trip from Esperance then do a fun thing and call into the Condingup Tavern. This Tavern is a cross between an essentual store for the locals, fuel sales and a pub. Tourists make up a large portion of its customer base however enough locals neaby to ensure its existance. After visiting the beachrs we called in for a lunch. The sole waitress was polite, happy engaging with a nice smile and made us feel welcome. The menu is a bit on the $$ hexy side but your dam near touching the outback so expect to pay a bit more and dont complain. I had the tavern beef snitz with mushroom gravy which was huge and excellent. Our other dish was the fish which was likewise good. Over all an enjoyable place for lunch and worth a visit if in proxcimity. Fuel sales are 24hr and the tavern store supplies the basics and is something unique. Stay well and travel safe.

I will be nice as they are a small pub in an even smaller town. But $13.90 for a pint of 3.5% Beer is asking too much. Especially when it isn't even local beer, they should be selling Lucky Bay Brewery beers, but they don't. It's all Asahi owned beers here. Food was average, burgers were OK, buns not great and collapsed very quickly, I haven't had to eat a burger with a knife and fork for a very long time, but I had to here, There were flies absolutely everywhere outside too, And the worst part was they had no Internet access, so they couldn't access Eftopos, so it was either pay cash, or they photocopy your credit card... Could be an amazing pub, just needs some minor improvements.

Took my parents to Condingup Tavern after a lovely day exploring Cape le Grande. We were absolutely starving, and I tell you what the Condingup Tavern did not disappoint!!! What an amazing feast. Exceptionally generous portions and cooked to perfection. The bar staff were friendly and the atmosphere was top nosh. Highly recommend the drive out to the Condi 😊😊

Really poor experience, drove 60kms to get there as reviews we read were incredible. Barstaff were polite and friendly, only 3 tap beers but a very pricey $13.50 per pint and my can of coke for daughter was $5.00.

However we had gone there for the burgers as I mentioned earlier the reviews were great. Well I think there must be two Condingup taverns as the one we had food at was terrible. My wife ordered the beef burger, my daughter and I ordered the Chicken Caesar Burger which sounded great, described as a crumbed chicken breast with Caesar sauce and Parmesan. We expected something quite simple but special, in fact what we received was not chicken breast but in fact the heart shaped reformed frozen chicken burger you buy at Woolworths for $1:50 ! Also it was dripping in grease to such an extent the bread roll it sat on was flattened to nothing in the weight of grease it had soaked up, Further to that the bun itself was burnt as they had toasted it, really bad value for $27.90 each including served with chips. My wife’s beef burger was slightly better but also soaked in grease, the burger we were served we’ve seen nothing like before. It was so thin....... thinner than a burger you get in a maccas cheeseburger, didn’t realise anyone produced something so thin. 120km round trip to get this level of food is disappointing, certainly wouldn’t advise anyone to make the same...

Very disappointed after coming here. I had read that the staff were lovely and the food was great, however that was not our (me and my husband) experience. We paid $70 for a Parmigiana and a Schnitzel, which is ridiculous but also kind of makes sense for such a small town. I at least expected the food to taste amazing and at the bare minimum the staff to be great. Unfortunately that was not the case. The staff seemed very uninterested in taking our order when my husband was waiting at the counter. Looked at him a few times without saying anything like "won't be a moment" or "just one second please". I read another review that said it looked like they are only friendly to the locals and not to tourists and honestly that's how it felt. I would honestly expect such a small place to be bursting with friendliness and hospitality. As for the food, like I said, for the price we paid, I expected something great, but instead we paid nearly $70 for something very very average. Would love to give this place another try one day, to give them a second chance. Hopefully the staff are a bit more...
