Absolutely sensational Thai food. We've travelled to Thailand several times, always seeking vendors that have mastered their cuisines and this made us feel like we were back in Thailand. This has got to be one of the best Thai meals we had in Australia across Sydney, Melbourne and Greater Newcastle. The wok flavour on the fried rice immediately let you know this was legitimate Thai, the Choo Chee duck was so flavourful and we picked the bones clean of the chilli basil snapper. The owner was also so incredibly nice.

Big table at balcony for us and beautiful authentic Thai cuisine All happy including our kids love it so much Thank you to all staff especially to Sanook chef and teams for excellent dinner experience in Sandy Point We will be back again when had holidays around this area For those read this review, you must try this restaurant if you still unsure which one you need to choose for your dinner 😉.

Ordered king prawn Tom yum soup, chicken peanut sauce stir fry, chicken pad Thai and rice. Everything was bland. No taste at all. I've eaten from lots of thai restaurants and this was honestly my worst experience. The tom yum soup didn't even have king prawns as mentioned in the name. They were frozen prawns instead. Peanut sauce stir fry tasted just like oil and water with crushed peanuts on top. The broccoli tasted and looked old. Rice also tasted old. Bland food that's not fresh at all. They only refunded us for the dishes we could return back to them even though we had to throw out a dish unknowingly of this apparent policy. If you're not from nelson bay and have eaten thai food before, I would not recommend this restaurant. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant either way. Really...

Sanook Thai in Corlette, NSW.

We were told by the owner, as we thanked her for an amazing meal, that all of their dishes follow secret family recipes, passed down, and come Oct 2023, the restaurant has been ONE family owned and operated for 25 years.

Well! Can only say, I wished I lived closer. Would eat here every other day. Have not enjoyed Thai as much as I did at this restaurant. Every dish we tasted was AUTHENTIC in flavour, and we practically scraped every last drop and morsel from the plates.

Service is friendly and efficient! Food is AWESOME. Well priced. Relaxing atmosphere.

Can UNRESERVEDLY recommend eating here if you really want to...

TERRIBLE!!! I had Chicken laksa soup it had 2 minute noodles in it 3 pieces of actual chicken the rest was that fake chicken. Partner had chicken peanut sauce the chicken was still cold (not freshly cooked at all) veggies where raw. Me and my partner are currently stuck on the toilet because of these horrendous meals.

Im sorry to do this sanook but this has topped the cake of the worst cooking i have come across. Im a chef also... -- Edited-- Now my head is in the bucket... thanks alot i have work in the...
