Corowa Golf Club – The Augusta of New South Wales Playing along the Murray River’s famed golf courses, Corowa Golf Club stands out as the absolute highlight of my journey. After experiencing four top-tier courses in the region, I can confidently say Corowa is the Augusta of New South Wales — a hidden gem that offers not just a game, but a soulful experience. The course is immaculately maintained, with lush fairways and pristine greens that are a pleasure to walk. Every hole presents a unique character, framed by majestic river red gums and the gentle undulations of the Murray landscape. It’s a course that rewards precision but remains fair for golfers of all levels. What sets Corowa apart is not just the quality of the course, but the atmosphere — peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully connected to nature. Walking the course felt like a personal retreat, where each step allowed me to reflect and enjoy the pure essence of golf. The staff were equally exceptional. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their club, they made the experience even more memorable. The clubhouse facilities are top-notch, with everything a golfer needs to enjoy a full day. If you’re planning a golf trip along the Murray, make Corowa your must-play course. It’s the heart and soul of Murray River golf.

Corowa Golf Club, Price was very good and the course was very cool particular 19th to 27th tight with drivable par 4s challenging par 3s. The 1st to 9th hole nice wide fairways and large greens well maintained and quite quick on the day. I spoke to the club president briefly on the first seemed like good bloke, as for the staff and food very good except for one person had absolutely no people skills at all. Accommodation needs a face lift but neat and clean with somewhere to sleep course side which was great. Green keepers do great job and highly recommend anyone to go Corowa for a game of golf. Make sure you have the opportunity to play the 19th to 27th it’s very nice indeed.

The course was challenging the staff great. Accommodation was great & the restaurant staff & food was good but need to expand the menu. The manager of the restaurant you would think would be more welcoming for a new venue but no miserable & unpleasant. But again the rest of the staff was fantastic.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is purely for the cinema. It's great not having ads and the movie starts pretty much straight away but then in saying that the club can see how many people have booked and they should be prepared for the crowds especially on a weekend. We almost missed the start of the movie today because there wasn't enough staff working to serve everyone in a timely manner. We got there half an hour early too so kinda annoying. It's awesome that you can order hot food and it gets delivered to you. Ended up going back to the club for dinner and my goodness please get a new chef. The food wasn't great and the taste wasn't the best. I got the roast of the day and the beef was so tough, the veggies were not the nicest range and the gravy tasted like powder. The chicken scallopini was okay but again the taste wasn't the greatest. Went and asked if they had a dessert menu and was told oh no we lack in desserts, we have the few slices in this cabinet otherwise icecream. What happened to this place!? Some of the staff need an attitude adjustment, it is your job to smile and be courteous and if you want to roll your eyes when you have to work and complain then probably don't work in customer service. Whoever is answering the phones needs some training on phone etiquette, I called to book for dinner and was told the times I could book, being five thirty or quarter to six, when I replied with five fourty five she rudely said yeah well that's quarter to six. Unsure why she had to have an attitude about how to say the time, it's the same damn time! Anyway moral of the story is, don't eat dinner here until they can get...

Must admit, i was very disappointed in the Corowa Golf Club.

We stopped in on a 2 course dinner night, put in our order and were handed a buzzer... when the buzzer went off i was handed out deserts. I asked whether we could have our mains first!! I was greeted with a "havent you already eaten?". We had been there for around 15 minutes at this stage. Was finally given our meals, only for the buzzer to go off again 2 minutes later. Went back to the counter and was handed two deserts. I said that we were not ready yet as our meals had only just come out, the kid serving just started at me and said "leave them on the table till you're done". Needless to say, we had an atrocious pavlova desert. The can whipped cream had melted everywhere and the pavlova practically dissolved.

The guy behind the bar had no ideal what wine was what and had to receive directions to where he might locate it. We also asked for water and was given a half full jug of water and no glasses. Had to ask for these twice.

The table we chose to sit at had wet material seats (we dread to think of what we sat in!).

The place what really grotty with dirty plates and glasses everywhere. There just didn't seem to be any staff around anywhere.

Our feet stuck to the floor in the sports bar toilets (eww). All of the surfaces around where just sticky and gave the overall impression that the place is not cleaned regularly.

The carpark was awful (please fill in your massive pot holes). Not a great area to try and get someone with a disability around.

I can honestly say that on our next visit to Corowa, we will...
