So we started off with some entrees, and drinks. The drinks were okay, but personally the iced chai I had was rather weak. The entrees when they came out were massive, more main sized dishes, but the chips were under cooked sadly, and soggy.

Despite the large size of the entrees, we still went for mains, however, when they came out, we were notified that the chef had not told the poor waitresses which of the steaks was medium and which was medium rare, which in the end would have made no difference because both steaks were barely even rare. But even worse, it tasted burnt, as though the chef had cooked it at a very high temperature for a very short amount of time (which is a little unbelievable considering wait time on a moderately mellow service) when it should have been cooked at a lower temperature for longer to preserve the flavors of the beef.

We ended up sending one of the steaks back, and we were given the option of either getting it redone, waiting an hour for something else to come out, or just get nothing. The person who got his steak sent back chose for just nothing, however the steak got sent out again, and there was no difference other than the outside being more burnt, the inside was still barely even rare.

Finally, one of the other mains we had was the Pescatore, which was okay as far as flavor goes, however the pasta was chewy and so was the squid, an indicator that the squid was over done.

Apart from all this, the wait staff were all really nice, and as helpful as...

My husband and I were in the Margaret River region a couple of weeks ago for 8 nights to just float about and enjoy all there is to offer .

We've been coming down here from Perth for many years for our family breaks! Fortunately, this time around we had the time to visit places we hadn't in the past ...wineries, art galleries and the expanding brewery's popping up in all directions. Anyhow.... of all the places we visited, even though smaller in comparison to wineries etc, we by far had the loveliest of experiences at Olio Bello.

The staff were so welcoming and full of information about all of their products that are completely organic..oils, olives etc plus their large range of organic skin care!

We didn't get to have a sit down casual meal, however this will be on the top of our list next time, plus as cyclists we heard this is the local riders' coffee spot of choice! For all who know cyclists in Lycra ..this carries a lot of weight :)))

We ended up leaving with a couple of bags of products where the prices were so reasonable. Now at home im loving the oil and range of olives we chose ...my macho hubby (well he thinks he is) purchased from the organic men's range of face and body moisturisers plus the body wash! I chose from the face and the delicate eye care range!

Thank you so much for the pre dinner Olives / oil tasting.. we almost didn't need dinner ;)

Thanks again to all at Olio Bella.

Ps ..we have no business/family interest, just...

What a hidden gem in the Southwest 😍! @OlioBello had a great romantic vibe, with olive trees paved the walkways. The outdoor dining area was a bit warm when we visited (one of the hottest days in summer) but I could only imagine how nice it would be once it's cooled down.

Bruschetta was the most well-rounded, well-seasoned we've ever had 😍. Bread was nicely toasted, with a generous amount of filling consisting of creamy feta, salty olives, sweet onions and crunchy cherry tomatoes playing harmonious tunes 🤤. Balsamic vinegar and fragrant herbs tied everything together and every bite bursted full of flavours. Honestly I'd never been so happy eating bread and tomatoes before 😂.

Gnocchi soft and pillowy, kale contributed a wonderful earthiness while smooth pumpkin purée softened everything up. There could have been a much crunchier element added besides the macadamia crumbs but flavours were spot on!

Pescatore fettuccine was loaded with prawns, cuttlefish, mussels and snapper. Not only curly fettucine was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was lemony and garlicky, loaded with capers, chillies and olives. Just pure deliciousness...

I cannot say enough good things about Olio Bello. It is a small encampment at the top of a beautiful olive grove. The area is absolutely beautiful, the facilities (tent structures) are really nice, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant on site has amazing food, and they products made at Olio Bello are awesome. I've told everyone I know about it since we've returned. One person was in Margaret River while we were there and complained that the resort they stayed in was nice but definitely not a good value for the money paid. I would say this is the absolute opposite experience, Olio Bello is a EXCELLENT value for the money. It is beautiful, quiet, located 15-20 from about anything you might want to do. We are already planning a return there later in the year. Very, very happy that we found them. Best holiday we've had in years.
