Seems to be a theme of poor service when you read the reviews. Came here with a group of 10 around mid-morning. No one else dining in, just a few coffee takeaways.

We ALL ORDERED coffees, cakes & some more substantial brunch. Whilst the lady with the short hair came out with coffees, she took offence at a few people sitting there with wrappers (empty wrappers people took out of their pockets - not consumed on premises) & told us there’s snacks to purchase instore and NOT to eat anything not purchased there. It was really demeaning the way she spoke.

One person ate a small banana & was basically told off like he was a child in front of everyone & how it was robbing staff of income. Like a banana seriously!

I get it if someone brought a substantial packed meal with them & proceeded to use the cutlery & created extra work for the staff..but a banana? Treat your paying customers a bit more respect. We’re not children....

Such a beautiful place and managed really bad by the unprofessional people

I stopped by this place to have a quick break and have a refreshment in this place. As soon as we entered the restaurant my little one ( 5 YO) wanted to use the toilet but the lady at the counter said that unless you order first we won’t allow your little one to use the toilet it. I was offended by that and I quickly grabbed a drink from the fridge and paid her. I initially did not even take that drink ( left it with her at the counter ). I took my little one to the toilet and we all left this place without ordering anything else.

I believe if you happen to knock somebody’s house and explain the situation that your 5 year old one needs toilet, nobody would hesitate to allow the child to use the toilet in their home. But this store refused to allow my child to use their...

A truly friendly, unpretentious wonderful find... You know there is a serious love of food happening when you can't wait to get back there for something else! Anything else..

Yesterday it was hot chips... They would stand up next to any home cooked roast as they could be eaten from the bag, or on the plate as a delicious side.. Using very local potatoes, they were crispy and shaken in pink salt and home grown rosemary..

The previous day it was fresh, home made delicious salads of freekah, lentils, vegetables, fetta, tahini (plus lots more) and a sprinkling of slivered almonds added to the take away container.... Thanks Dale, I am sure your retirement plans will be short lived with food and service...

Magnificent. If you are going coastal, or returning inland. Stop in! The Store is a one stop shop for local Food, a lovely Providore, hot and take home pastry, ready to heat meals, tasty local artisan choices and a great range of rustic breads. Great coffee. Wonderful menu of vegan, vegetarian and all foods in between, including great help with dietary requirements. The local and homemade cake selection, almost makes you need a second cuppa, to sample the many, that are too good to miss out on. This Store, supports many local farms and artisan food producers. Highly recommend, with warm and wonderful hospitality. Stop in, relax, take a break, and enjoy. The Store gets my 5🌟.

Little general store and cafe, blink and you could miss it, don't so that, it's well worth a visit. A lovely restored heritage building, once inside we dound it to be quite spacious and broken uo into sections with a cosy indoor seating area with so much to look at before ordering from the menu some delicious food and beverages. The coffee is very good as well as the cakes and slices in dessert section, they also sell local produce in their deli, groceries and assorted alcoholic drinks, proudly advertising supporting local producers and artisans. Well worth a stop if travelling.
