Terrific experience. It's a shame you have to give any stars at all to leave a review. We called ahead of time 1. To check if we were able to bring our dogs which we could if we sit outside in the bear garden, and then 2. to book a table to which we were told we cannot book in the bear garden and that we wouldn't have trouble finding seats for 8 at 6pm in tje bear garden. We arrive at 6pm with the bear garden packed with people and 2 tables empty with reserved signs. After notifying a staff member, we were permitted to sit at the 2 reserved tables, which he wiped down for us to sit at. We hadn't even sat for a minute when another staff member approached us asking us to leave as the table next to us had reserve the 2 tables we are now seated at. This staff member was not apologetic, not listening and very rude to us. We will not be supporting this place and do not recommend them purely on customer...
Read moreStarter meals were excellent! We had pork belly bites and the salt a pepper squid, crackle on the pork belly was to die for and the calamari was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth! If we had of stopped there I would be giving them 5 stars, for mains we had, reef and beef at $42 mind you, my steak was over cooked, and I received 2 prawns and 2 Scollops, for $42 I expected a bit more seafood than that, after all they certainly were not tiger prawns, my husband ordered the seafood marinara linguini......big mistake, it had a funny plastic burnt smell and taste, he is usually a steak man but had gone out on a limb to try this “marinara”, we returned his meal, my husband refusing to eat it, but we were refunded the cost of the meal and given a free pint, the manager was pleasant and thanked us for our feedback and honesty, overall service was great and fast but kitchen staff need a bit...
Read moreI couldn't see this info on Google anywhere before we went, so I need to tell you that this pub has A BIG KIDS PLAYGROUND! It's a McDonald's style one, literally has a McD's logo on it haha! But quite a decent one, small slide for the little kids and bigger slide for the more adventurous. Plus a few trucks and baby toys floating around. Kept my 3 and 7 year olds happy for quite a while. We ordered chips and garlic bread to snack on which were good, and I had a sticky date pudding which was really yum. The coffee machine was broken so they had a kettle with free tea and coffee which suited me great as the family chauffeur lol. Footy on inside for dad. Some really nice and interesting beers on tap - we had the local Wilson brew from Albany and an amazing creme caramel beer from Dainton. Definitely a great spot to hang out if you're in the area, something for everyone and...
