Cellar Door chill atmosphere amongst the orchard with a fenced playground!

My husband has stopped in a few times to just pick up a box of their Ginger Beer which is a favourite. This time our kiddos and I came in and really enjoyed ourselves.

There is plenty of parking just outside the main door and there’s a tasting room just in on the right.

We ordered the tasting paddle of 6 ciders which then came with a big full sized one when we decided which we wanted best, and I chose the raspberry & apple because it felt cool and lovely on a warm afternoon.

They have food on offer as well which is available to order outside. My husband wasn’t as thrilled with the vegan nachos, but I liked them. :)

The playground is right by the picnic tables outside and is gated, which just means that the little ones are more contained so we could enjoy ourselves.

We took a 24 pack of beverages to go, and we’ll be back when it’s time...

The cidery is housed in a large, modern, clean building, located on the corner of Sheffield (B14) and Melrose (C146) Roads, about 10-15mins away from Devonport.

Established in 1998 the cidery offers a range of ciders: apple, pear, sour cherry, apple & raspberry, as well as ginger beers (which also includes non-alcoholic versions) and branded merchandise. The cellar door/bar sells cider and juice tasting paddles (with six samples). You can also buy it on tap or take away cans. They have a spacious seating area both inside and outdoors - though I can imagine that on a warm summers day it could get extremely busy (they do allow you to book tables ahead of your visit). The seating areas overlook their apple orchard and there is a kid's playground.

I found their ciders fresh and delicious, and bought a six-pack (non-alcoholic) for my drive...

Platinum Pro Construction recently held our end of year company function here and we were so impressed with the high level of service, organisation and staff on for the night! They closed to the public around 4pm and from then until the end of our evening looked after us so well! Everything ran smoothly and we all felt very welcome! We arranged for our own music and held some presentations and nothing was a hassle to the team as we moved furniture about and celebrated together! Special mention to 'The Little Food Van' for catering for us also, everything was delicious and came out to us so quickly!
