Pimlott & Strand — Restaurant in Dianella

Very rarely do I ever post a google review but after my experience today at Pimlott & Strand I felt that it was more than necessary to write one.

I had a reservation from 9:30am to 11am for mother’s day. After arriving with my wife and three year old son and waiting in line at the door for 20 mins to order then approx. 45 minutes after that for two serves of pancakes and an omelette with no update from any of the staff during this time, I approached the counter to be told at that time that my order was three minutes away after their consultation with the kitchen.

At this point in time I had asked for takeaway after waiting for so long and had everything packed to take with me. We arrived home to finally have what we had ordered only to find a small piece of sharp broken clear plastic in the berry jam topping on one of the pancakes (picture attached and more than happy to bring it back if needed). I do not recall such an experience in so many years of going out in Perth.

The coffees came out pretty quickly and even though the place was busy at this time I only received a sorry from the gentleman at the register after asking for an update on our order and also from the young lady that works there at this point. As for the piece of plastic in the pancakes, I don’t know what I would further add to this.

Absolutely the perfect hidden neighborhood gem. Pimlott & Strand is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With their exceptional customer service, smiling faces, great coffee, incredible food and very impressive cakes. They offer in house and take away dining - including taking away ready meals which are great for a cheeky lunch or lazy dinner! Their pizzas and Conti rolls are the best.

This local cafe has been a buzzing hive for our weekly mothers group meetings with a lovely little in-house play area for the kids filled with lots of toys and suitable food options for tiny tots! (There’s even a gelato bar!)

I’ve used them for catering for my business, for events such as Melbourne Cup and cocktail functions. I can highly recommend their grazing platters. I’ve even organized hampers for my clients through the team here.

I honestly cannot recommend them more. The food is delicious with large serves personally I think the prices are more than reasonable. The coffee is incredible I will drive past multiple cafes to get to Pimlott to grab my morning coffee.

If you are looking for a cheeky neighborhood cafe tucked away in the burbs with great customer service, staff that take pride in what they do and make an effort to get to know you along with great food and incredible coffee then this cafe...

The dinner /lunch menu at pimlotts is perfection! The right amount of options so that all the dishes are high quality and done really well. We shared a heap of entrees and enjoyed all of them beef meatballs were tender the sauce was tasty the toast was perfect for soaking it up. the octopus was yum good level of spice. the arancini were authentic and packed full of flavour they were really crispy. staff are very friendly and attentive (sadly no table service but didn't take away from the experience) we had a ragu pasta and gnocchi dish both amazing 🤤 the steak was super tender and flavour some and the lamb cutlets were next level (huge serving) definitely order heaps of dishes and share them so you can taste it all. We also had some sides potatoes and carrots both delicious. Was a rich meal full of flavour and love you can tell the chef loves what he does we so appreciate having a new local cafe open for dinners with this quality of food. Dianella get involved!! If you have kids the play area is perfect so you can enjoy sit back and relax (free byo !) we will be back again and again and again. Thanks so much pimlotts!
