The Doylo — Restaurant in Doyalson

Smokehouse?! More like a joke-house!!!! Dined in the smoke house tonight for the first time with my family along with friends and their kids, I asked the waitress for 2 high chairs, she pointed to where they were and was told to grab them myself. Would’ve been okay if I wasn’t carrying a baby!! After I asked her to please bring them over, she slid them into the table and walked off with a smug look on her face. Sat down and looked over the menu, pretty expensive if you’re not a member of them club, and the fact that the difference between members and non members price vary makes no sense. As we ordered, I asked the same girl if we could add bacon to the loaded potato with brisket, she asked the “chef” who bluntly said no, wasn’t asking for the world. Also the menu doesn’t state if there are any entrees?! Had to ask the girl if there were any and she said yeah we have this garlic bread which was written on a mini chalk board. After waiting 15 mins for 4 measly sized slices of Turkish garlic bread, we waited another 25 minutes for our mains! All we ordered was loaded potato with brisket and beef ribs. Once the meals had arrived, the loaded potato was literally a single dehydrated potato with brisket, barely like warm and an ice cream scope of sour cream on top, pretty pathetic. The beef ribs were fatty, dry like beef jerky, “apple slaw” literally had 3 small pieces of apple on top and the chips were stone cold. After deciding not to complain as this experience was pretty pathetic, we left and left it at that.

Also, bar staff who operate keno need to be retrained!!! After apparently incorrectly filling out the form, I was told to refill out another one. I asked if he could manually put the numbers in as they were clearly marked on the form, he said we can’t do that? 100% sure you can do it.

Even though my family isn’t from the central coast, I can definitely guarantee that we will never visit here again and will never recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely disgraceful. I do hope this does reach the “chefs” and they do have a good hard look at what’s going on. And yes this will also be sent in an email so atleast it reaches someone...

We had lunch at Doylo's today which we've been doing on & off for some years. Today we had the worst meal we've ever had at any club, I ordered the Pasta of the day - Salmon, Barra, Squid & Prawns in a lemon & oil sauce with pappardelle. It was so unpleasant to eat - the fish was uncooked, the cheese was like pieces of leather, all dried out, I had a couple of tiny cubes of Salmon & NO Prawns - apart from that the taste was so unpleasant though the squid was tender. The cost of this meal was $24- , $21- if a member, I ate some of the pasta, then took it over to the counter & explained the meal had no prawns & the fish was uncooked, he asked the cooks "not chefs" if it should have prawns, their reply was "yes, 5 prawns, the young man said do you want me to cook them now, no mention would you like your fish cooked or a replacement meal. It was obvious they didn't really care. My husband has ordered the King Prawn Stir Fry which cost $21- or $18- if a member on many occasions & have noticed it getting smaller & smaller in size & today it was not much bigger than an entrée size, the fried rice was inedible it was tasteless with a few bits of carrot thru it, he came home & had to have a sandwich. It's just so disappointing to see the club serve meals to this standard, it's not like we ordered late, we ordered our meals at 12.11 & didn't receive them till 12.35pm after my husband asked how much longer the meals would be. Over all we have only had a few unpleasant meals at Doylo's but today it was just awful made worse for the fact they didn't seem to want to know about it, here's hoping the meals get back to the standard that Doylo's...

15 of us went to the new sport bar/restaurant on 31st October 2025 to celebrate my twins 25th birthday. I don't normally do this but there wasn't just one thing that went wrong it was 99% of everything that was wrong. Service, well there wasn't any. Food was terrible and over cooked or under cooked. Waited 1 hour 40 minutes for 2 pizzas 1 hour and 10 minutes for 2 steaks. Which had been sitting under their warming lights, as they had forgot to buz the buzzer. Was now dry. Chicken wings were under cooked with skin a pale yellow colour as if they were boiled and sauce just shoved on top. No crispy skin. Another guest had a steak asked for medium but was over cooked to brown all the way through. When pizza's arrived they were cold, were cheese was rubber. The arn Our table was never cleared or attended by anyone to clear glasses or plates. Rudeness- bar staff- asked at Cafe for my grandson kids drink, knowing I couldn't go to bar with my grandson on my hip. They are joined the cafe and bar. Was told " you need to go to the bar" I explained I can't with my grandson. Was told can't help you. There was no line know one else at the cafe. I walked to bar staff cleaning glasses. Asked the same, was told to go to the bar explaining about my grandson again she said " not my problem " So I stood at bar with my grandson an was refused services, expressing how upset I was and had tried to avoid this with no help for other staff.
