Really disappointed.
I took my three Chinese friends there.
My 24 year Chinese friend was asked for ID that he could only produce, only a photocopy of. And he did not tell me.
We sat down and enjoyed our beer and they came and asked for ID For my 24 year old friend.
I tried to explain to him But he needs to have original ID. By Law,
I Needed to-try And get ID from someone who doesn’t understand English
You should understand, when you are using Google translations this is quite difficult.
But when I Tried to get my head Around the problem. And try and explain it to the Chinese people. They made a decision to ban me, as well, from The pub forever..
This is very disappointing. The place that we would go with my wife at least once a week for dinner for the last two years since I’ve moved to Dubbo.
I guess this is what you call racism.
I will never go back even though I live within a five minute walk.
A simple sensible conversation could have resolved this situation and I Would have happily walked away because my friend did not have valid ID.
Instead all of us were banned because of overzealous bounces with possibly a touch of racism.
Very...
Read moreThe outdoor kids play are is fantastic for kids while you wait, especially when your food takes almost 1 hour before it arrives on your table. The food (T-Bone Steak) was worth the wait as it was nice, juicy and tasty. However, if you are after a quick dinner to eat, then this place I would not recommend. As mentioned we waited almost an hour for our meals which by then the outdoor eating area was almost empty.
If you still would like to experience the nice tasting T-Bone Steak here then great but if you have been waiting for the buzzer to go off, I would advise to pay the bistro a visit to ensure that your meal is not lost in the mix. For such a fully staffed kitchen, the bistro in this tavern really needs to work on expediting their meals efficiently.
Overall, a great family atmosphere with good tasting food which was worth it if you are willing to wait for a...
Read moreWe have lived in Dubbo for only 18 months but have managed to try the majority of resturants in town. We had heard the advertising for south Dubbo Tavern on the radio many times but it just so happened we heard the advert as we were trying to decide on dinner so off we went. The tavern itself is quite deceiving as it seems a lot bigger on the inside. We were met by some of the friendliest staff in dubbo that were bright, attentive and well mannered. We ordered our meals and wanted to make a few changes. The chefs were more than happy to accommodate us. The meals that were served to us were absolutely delicious and the plate sizes were plentiful. Thank you South Dubbo Tavern for your wonderful meals and awesome hospitality. We will be...
