Well here’s my two cents worth about this place:
Walked in and were immediately asked what we wanted, we made a spilt decision only to have the server to not even listen to our order at all and asked us twice more what we wanted. After repeating our order for a third time we were then given filthy looks by the young girl serving us.
Just as a heads up reminding your staff to make sure all customers are wearing a mask in front of the customer not only embarrasses your worker but also upsets ur paying customers and places everyone in an awkward position, especially if you were not around to know the story in the first place. Best management practice would be to take the girl out to the kitchen after the customer has left and find out the story first! Then give a gentle reminder.
Had you or her, had bothered to even ask us, we do have exemptions and did not deserve to be put in this position. But no one asked us and we were treated badly for it. That’s poor on your behalf.
How about you have a chat to ur workers who do have exemptions see how they feel constantly being judged without being asked🙄
Also, you might want to tell your young worker while you have her out back not to greese off customers when they have their back to her. Someone is always watching! We seen the filth on her face!...
Read moreA great place for a coffee and refreshments. Recent renovations have provided a delightful outdoor area, with decking undercover of large roofed sky-lighted area that makes for a pleasant atmosphere. However, at least one of the staff needs to improve their customer service and sales skills. My wife an I ordered Coffee and Banana Bread (really yummy) which was delivered to us in outdoor area. It came without knife (which was needed). When asked about a knife, the attendant/waiter, responded by saying, "it is inside if you want them". It wasn't a question of, " if we want them", how else were we to put the butter on the Banana Bread? If that wasn't enough, later we fancied some potato cakes which we thought we had seen being served to others. Again went to the counter and asked if we could have some potato cakes. The response was, "we don't have potato cakes" End of remark. Reported back to my wife, who said go back and ask for "Hash browns". Bingo! They were in supply. A good sales person should have been quick to offer such as an alternative, when somebody asks for potato cakes. Otherwise, a very pleasant place for quenching ones thirst and fueling...
Read moreOf the few breakfast cafes available, The Eildon Bakery Cafe seemed most appealing. And that’s where the appeal ended, on paper. The menu is extensive, but the food is subpar, at best.
About the service: While taking orders down, they asked for our names, but while serving our orders, they called out the names of the dishes (because two different tables can’t order the same dish?). My lactose intolerant friend picked up the wrong “chai latte”, but when we asked for a replacement, they refused to give us one because we accepted the wrong order. But this wouldn’t have happened if they called out our names.
Next, they got our name wrong, which is completely fine. But when we were checking with them to see if we’re getting the right order, they walked away without any acknowledgement or clarification.
Abysmal service topped off with average food and garnished with deadpan waiters. I wouldn’t be visiting...
