As a northerner (much of Queensland) walking into an establishment that has a thoroughly adequate tap beer and stubbie selection - and is coseily crisped by two wood fired heaters - after a day of sweat, mud and rain - well, I can't help but drape my muddy frame over the beacon of light and blackwood fuelled warmth... with a beer or two...

As my body warm'd and my mind thaw'd Charlie ask'kd of me if I'd'd have had the last I ordered the day before I had last asked'd ...

He's a nice young lad with greying hair - his true age sparkles behind his eyes. "Another 'Draft' young fella?" He chuckled through his thin lips, betraying his eternal - enlightened? State of bliss...

Don't be afraid of the worker's bar - ( everyone 30kms outside of Melbourne wears hi-vis 7 days a week)

Hospitality at its best! We were greeted kindly and made to feel at home all three consecutive nights we visited. We had intended to go one night and had bought food with us for the others, that food came home with us we loved the pub that much. The staff were the best staff in any pub, and were so welcoming, it was a real taste of what country life is all about. The food was delicious and not one of us had even one negative comment to make on the meals - generous, well presented and best of all tasted delicious. To our absolute surprise we found our favourite bottle of red, the lemon lime and bitters were a winner also. I am sorry I didn’t get her name, but am so grateful to our hostess with the mostest the lovely young lady who looked after us, she was layback whilst being professional just what we needed on our holiday, thank you. Unfortunately we missed steak night by one night and I’m not even kidding when I say we did discuss staying an extra night, unfortunately reality called and we will have to come back for it. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, super clean and well looked after pub that we will definitely return to. Thanks for making the nights of our holiday...

Truly the best Parma I've had in a long time. ( it was only new on the menu) our party had booked for 35 people for a 30th. They only had allocated seating for 30. ( thinking maybe they got the 30th mixed up with numbers 🤷‍♀️) Pub was fully booked, and very busy. It was very awkward for some of us not knowing where to sit because of the lack of seats. And this caused tension among the guests. This also added stress to the person turning 30. Thankfully they have a lovely outdoor area, with fire pits and a guy started playing live music. That saved the day! A few of us went out there. The lady running the place was lovely and apologetic. She made up for the rude shorter lady. It was only going to be a 2 * rating till we went outside. And also the manager spoke to us. The people whos function it was, spoke so highly of the pub. So I'm assuming it was just bad luck. Overall... keep the lovely outdoor area with fire pits and live music... great atmosphere and keep...
