Tried it out today. Absolutely lovely atmosphere, with tasty GF cakes and a lot of cakes and savoury offerings made onsite. Very nice staff seem happy and committed to providing a great experience for all comers. A quick detour off Toodyay rd or a pleasant winding drive from the Mundaring side. Will definitely be back! Edited to add that we had lunch there last week. Hubby had their breakfast and said delicious. I had gf frittata and salad. Best fritatta ever and the salad was fresh and tasty with a lovely balsamic dressing. So lovely that we bought a bottle of it!

The food was satisfactory and definitely not bad. Was it 5 star cuisine no but that's not what it's all about. Little trip out of the city limits and the atmosphere, environment and service is country special. It's definitely a recommendation from me - in fact a must go really. Prices are great $45 for 2 meals, 1 cake and 2 drinks - that would just buy one meal in town so more than pays for fuel 😉 PS. Take cash and save your card surcharge.

Beautiful little boutique cafe with views across the olive grove and lake below! There are donkeys and geese for the kiddies to see and a little overgrown play space/ garden! Staff are friendly and helpful! Being a small establishment meant very busy staff and a little bit of wait time, but I think they did a wonderful job and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Will be back again, perhaps even every weekend

Today, hubby and I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 mugs of cappuccino, explicitly stating we wanted the coffees right away to drink whilst waiting for the pizzas. After 35 minutes we asked again to make sure we would not receive the coffees with the pizzas and we were assured the coffees would be served first. Instead after 40 minutes we got the coffees and pizzas served at the same time. Exactly what we did not want, we would have ordered cold drinks instead if we were told getting coffee first would be an issue. Pizza was good enough, not great but not bad either. The coffee was terrible, tasted like water with bitter milk. I only drank 2 sips of mine and left the rest as it was giving me a stomach ache. This place used to be a nice local secret hidden gem with great service and food but we won't be returning any time soon. Tried to support local but got terrible service. Such a pity. Had they not served the 2 take away coffees to customers that arrived 20 minutes after us, we would have gotten the coffees before our meals just as we requested. Too expensive to serve such low quality coffee and average food with bad service. Also, the sugar pot on our table looked disgusting as it clearly had been stirred with a dirty spoon a while ago. There was dried up milk foam inside the sugar pot with a lot of moisture. The sugar did not look...

Absolutely lovely little place. Great food, nice atmosphere and lovely service from the chef and waitress.

Dropped a single star as although its not the largest place, the design of the restaurant either makes it difficult for the staff to keep an eye on things or they seemed a bit short on staff and I note a couple of patrons had to hang around a while (with no staff to be seen at all) while either waiting to be seated or waiting to pay.

For what it's worth (as a point for consideration) I'd recommend if they need to be 'around the back' doing stuff that they have a tv screen so they can stream the front of house cameras to the rear section so they can keep an eye on any customers waiting.

While having lunch at least two couples came in and then left again after waiting for a couple of minutes without anyone greeting them. On the face of it, this looks like lost business.

With all that that said, we waited a couple of minutes but I'm glad we hung around.

The super friendly waitress and amazing food made It a lovely experience and we'll...

Essentially nothing wrong with the place, however, I was encouraged to go here by a friend & it was a fair drive from my place & when we arrived, found it somewhat lacking in atmosphere.

The food was ok but nothing to write home about really, nothing I couldn't have got in any reasonable cafe.

We sat outside next to a staff member smoking & taking a break which wasn't great.

The outlook over an olive grove was a bit dull & overall the experience was a bit meh - no scenery to relax & take in a view so we were in and out in 30..

The serving ladies were lovely, but maybe the referrer built my expectations up too high for the experience. A long drive for a...
