Happy Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Gladstone

Quite reasonable take away shop in Gladstone. Fairly standard menu of chips, burgers, pies, pasties etc, with other snacks and cold drinks. The pies and sausage rolls are home made and rated very highly by anyone I've spoken to, but as I don't eat them I can't judge myself. I have had hot chips, sanwhiches, and biscuits etc on my visits and they have all been quite acceptable. This lady bakes her own pies - and they are the best we've EVER had! They are packed full with slow cooked beef steak and gravy and packed into the most fabulous pastry - the lady is SO lovely in there and told us that her pie recipe has come down from her nan! This lady and her pies have put Gladstone firmly on the map for me and my family - It will always be our route to and from the Flinders...

Great Coffee, excellent service and very reasonably priced. The only Degree needed here is Celsius! (For cooking!)
