When my family and I arrived for breakfast we were blown away by the gorgeous facilities and surroundings (my 2 girls in awe of all the nice things to look at). I ordered a double shot piccolo along with food and drinks for my family. When my coffee came out, it was actually an extra hot piccolo; easy enough mistake to make; not a problem. When the new coffee was brought to the table, it was done so without any form of apology and the cup had coffee spilled down the side. Not a great start but I’m still positive e about the experience. When my crepes came out, they did so without the advertised maple syrup on the side. I went in to enquire about the missing syrup and was given some (again with no semblance of an apology or an attempt to ensure the guest was happy). I mentioned this lack of apology to the staff and was met with aggression in the form of them denying they had done anything wrong, coupled with an implication that I was overreacting. I also mentioned to them that the gorgeous gazebo we were seated at was in a bad way with cobwebs and wasp nests adorning the inside of the roof. A short while after heading back to enjoy my meal, a staff member came over to the table (I had assumed to endeavour to smooth things over), however she was there to see for herself the wasp nests I had referred to. With some assistance, she was eventually able to see the nests for herself, then said (and I quote): ā€œI was looking for something bigā€. I explained to her that one of them in particular was quite big for a wasp nest, she (in a massively passive aggressive manner) said that she didn’t know much about wasp nests and thanked me for educating her, before turning around and walking back inside, claiming that she would let the owner know. At this stage My family and myself called out to her that I felt this was terrible customer service and that she was being very rude but she ignored us and walked inside.

What could have been a beautiful Sunday morning breakfast with my Wife, my sister and my two children was soured by the poor attitudes of people who should never work in a customer service...

Really dissapointed in my experience as I had heard so many good things about this place. I shared a high tea with my mum trialing a venue for my first baby shower, the food was nice and a particular private seating area was perfect so i booked it and left my details with the owner whilst I was there. About 8wks later I reached out and confirmed by booking, following day i get a call just confirming my name as they had trouble finding the booking, i re-confirmed the particular area i wanted and number of guests, anyway, got there in the end and everything was confirmed for the following day. All my guests and I arrived and saw that a the table was already preoccupied by another group of people, whilst my guests stood around awkwardly I went and spoke to the ladies and was told there had been a mix up with the bookings and i was told we were now to sit in another area, I couldnt be botherd with a fuss so I just dealt with it and made it work. Our drink of choice was unavailable as they had sold out of it that morning? scones got brought out, they were lovely, an hour passed and i asked when the savoury would be sent out only to be told its not in the package i paid for as the menu changed since i booked so long ago (7wks). When i showed them the $25pp package i wanted (which is currently still advertised on their webpage today) they compensated with some mini quiches and some ham cheese & tomato toasted sandwiches. Not the best first baby shower I had hoped for, bit of a disaster really. They did apologise and give me a voucher for one high tea but I wont be returning, don't think anyone would accompany me back...

Bonappetea is so much more than a tea house. It was a storybook setting for our wedding.. I had been searching for a venue to match my vintage dress and I stumble on the most beautiful up and coming venue that was offering elopement packages. LET ME TELL YOU… my partner and I chose an elopement because we wanted to travel and grow our family of 3 sooner rather than later, but this venue would have been incredible even if we had a moderate guest list. The staff were amazing from the day we came to view the property to the day of the wedding. They attended to many of the details from the decorations, to the table settings. Our elopement was small and parents only however the vintage stained glass windows and the character of the house meant that the decor was perfect without any addition or stress. The catering food/cake was excellent. All of our guests raved about the food! Bianca the owner was present and available throughout the planning and on our wedding day. The Venue had indoor and outdoor options, it rained on the day and they took care of all the set up, no stress. The package was inclusive of our celebrant, photography/videography and decorative items such as an arbour. But I would have selected the vendors provided even if I had been searching for them separately. The Photographer was incredible and even my 7 month old took to her. She captured moments, not poses. I am beyond happy and would recommend...

I reckon Tea Topia is now under new management and this business is now known as Bon AppeTea. I wonder if they are still sticking with the same name or is being updated in Google search. Lovely location that suits a romantic high tea with your date or for a formal celebrations. When we visited there was a small party going on for the bride to be during the weekends. This place has a beautiful garden and a very cosy feel. Instagram or photo-shoot ready place with various option. The shop itself is nestled within bushes and trees off the main street, so if you don't pay attention - you will probably miss this secret garden. I would recommend the owners to place few signage few paces back and ahead before approaching this fantastic place. Loved the 1900's outlook with classic set ups. They have seating from 2 to 20 and maybe larger depending on what management allows. They also have locations within their gardens and inside the restaurant created for each and every occasions. The staff is very friendly and the places follows good COVID control practices. Mainly serving high teas and also has light lunch menus with some great dessert options. Portion size suits the pricing. Their salads are really top-notch and bit unique too. Not to be missed.

What a hidden gem! I live in London and have had many a high tea in my time but this beats them all. Literally everything was delicious, and what a gorgeous setting. We sat in the covered gazebo outside. My only feedback would be to perhaps add some bird feeders to the garden 😊🐦

First time visiting Bonappetea, the restaurant itself is very charming. My Mum and I both ordered the two tier delight, which included one beverage. We got one a pot of tea each, English breakfast and French earl grey. My mums pot of tea was only half full, she had to request some hot water to top it up. Upon arrival we were notified that they had sold out of scones for the day. Which is extremely disappointing. However, we saw multiple scones go past as we waited for our high tea to arrive. We were offered extra cakes/sandwiches. Only one extra cake was added and one extra savoury item. Upon request we asked for warm quiche (which was the best item from the high tea). The food overall was was very average. I have had other high tea experiences on the Gold Coast and was blown away with every mouthful. For the cost per person $42.00 I would not recommended this to my family or friends.
