My partner and I went here the other night for what we have heard to be an amazing eatery and social experience. It was busy and we had to wait outside for 20 minutes for a table. We finally were seated at the pass on a high table with uncomfortable stools and the night didn't improve at all from there.
DRINK REVIEW We ordered a margarita to share and it came out in a tall water glass?? This of course caused the salt to dissolve into the glass therefore taking away the experience of a margarita. It was a brown, very unorthodox tasting margarita that should not be passed as cocktail margarita.
ORDER We ordered 4 starters including the chickpea chips, buffalo wings, meatballs and zucchini flowers. Our order was lost and we were left there for 40 minutes watching others sitting comfortably at tables getting served their meals. Finally, they notified us of the situation and we received our meals within minutes.
FOOD REVIEW Goodness. Probably the worst food I have ever eaten in my life! The chickpea chips were disgusting, inedible! They were dry and hollow? No flavour and I am stumped as to why they don't just serve potato chips, they are vegan aren't they not? Even the accompanying sauce couldn't make them edible. The cauliflower buffalo wings... Cauliflower and tinned tomatoes do not taste nice, unfortunately that is all it tasted like. And it was all sloped on top of mesclun salad leaves. Yuk. The "meatballs" well, for all anyone would know, they probably have meat in them. They were gluggy with a foul aftertaste and covered in this white sauce that tasted off. Again, the tin tomatoes were back, why can't you make a nice napoli sauce. I was told they are better than meatballs, I certainly question that, and ask to any meat eaters, has anyone had homemade meatballs before? I mean not the prepacked meatballs or meatballs from the butcher. Honestly, they were gross... Finally, the zucchini flowers, they were pleasant. Shame there were only two.
Really, there really isn't anything to come back for. The experience was below average, the drink was below average, and the food was no better. The drink was discounted from the bill. But not good, and certainly nothing that comes close to being so. A surprise that this place...
Read moreToday was a rough day for me...after being on the road & at hotels for 2.5weeks just so I can cross a State Border to move for work. Being exhausted from lack of sleep & driving for hours looking at outsides of houses all day yesterday. Realising how difficult it is to get my own place due to an unfair property rental market spurred on by Sydney people working from home & moving up here to avoid Sydney's constant tighter restrictions, which means that until I can get my own place I cannot get any of my things or get or see my kittycats, Realising once Mum flies back home on Monday I'm then all alone I was at breaking point this afternoon. Even though I'm so happy to be here I am still facing challenges & was just so overwhelmed I couldn't stop crying! Then my son called me & that made me cry a little more as I miss him so much & haven't been able to see him for over a year now due to covid/WA borders. I was so grateful to hear his voice 🥰 I decided to take Mum & I out to a Vegan Restaurant down the road. I was still crying on & off on arrival. We met a lovely staff member called Hannah (hope I spelt that right) ahe sat & had a chat with us to see if all was ok. She brought a smile to my face again! We ordered, food was fast, service was amazing & food was divine with huge servings! Afterwards I requested the bill. After a few minutes Hannah came over & said I just want to let you know you you have no bill. She said you ladies were so lovely I paid for your dinner. She said it was something I really wanted to do! My heart just soared. I couldn't believe the kindness Hannah was showing us even though she has had her own challenges too & still is! I will never forget this random act of kindness & she even let me hug her! I promised I would be back again to see her! I cannot speak highly enough of Hannah & this amazing restaurant/bar! Please go & see her & check out this...

In a beautiful tranquil setting.
It's such a refreshing change to find such and authentic menu where you can actually feel that love and care is going into all aspects of the menu and dining experience rather than just the "vego/ GF option" on the menu.
We ate 2 entrés 1 main and an entré 1 dessert
With a drink each.
Omfgoodness gracious 😍
To start Stuffed zucchini flowers with almond feta. (Light, crunchy, soft and textured. Delicious but not too much)
Cauliflower wings (deep fried, with tomato sauce cashew cream dipping sauce. (I'd eat that every time, wow, somehow better than your usual cauli wings)
Main Entré size home made baked meat balls with cauliflower cheese and shaved piquant (3 decent sized meat balls were soft and tasty which paired precisely with the sauce and cauliflower cheese, again I'd be happy with that every time)
Pumpkin Alfredo gnocchi with rice paper bakon, truffle mushrooms and cashew parmesan (Hearty and filling, the flavours were beautiful and incorporated well into the dish. I found the truffle a little intense as I'm not a lover of truffle however it wasn't offensive besides the pumpkin sauce was amazing.)
We were hitting the wall with a food coma after this undertaking. But when the dessert of the day arrived, I don't know but it actually sparked us back to life. Deep fried chocolate chip cookies with what tasted like a cake batter ice cream and strawberries was small enough to be the perfect compliment to a wonderful meal. Somehow the cookies took away our heavy feeling and let us leave feeling amazing and satisfied.
Our server was a lovely young girl as we're all the staff very good at their jobs, attentive but not...
