Masala Twist — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Went here on a whim and won’t be back. Ordered take away and the customer service made me feel like I was putting them out. Ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, plain rice and beef madras. My daughter and I were so hungry and couldn’t wait to get home to eat it. It smelled good so we were looking forward to some good tasting tucker. I have to say it tasted like each dish was microwaved. The butter chicken was rubbery, the beef madras was like glue and the rice was dry. The worst of all though was the tandoori chicken pieces. One bit and it looked like a Coles chicken that had been sitting in a shop window for a week. It was so dry I had to spit it out. The drumstick was probably the worst chicken I have ever tasted. Don't come here expecting the same old pedestrian fast food (although the butter chicken and rogan josh is top notch)

Eating at Coconut Lagoon reminds me when I had an Indian workmate and we used to go to their home for dinner with Nanna. This is the real deal - genuine family cooked down home cooking with fresh tastes straight from the continent

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food quality was poor, and when I voiced my concerns to the staff, they laughed at me, displaying unprofessional behavior. Moreover, the billing process was problematic. Initially, we were handed a handwritten bill, which we paid without hesitation. However, upon requesting an official invoice, we were informed that their printer was not working. Subsequently, we were asked to pay an additional amount, claiming an undercharge. This lack of transparency and the ensuing hassle left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, I would caution others against dining here due to the subpar experience.
