We got takeaway from Thai on the Hill last night and I cannot recommend it enough. I am currently very restricted with my diet and so we went in to order, as I wanted to ask what the ingredients were in some of the dishes. The lady who helped us (i didn't see her name but she had blonde hair and glasses) was actually amazing. She went and checked with the chef multiple times and they got me to write a list of ingredients that I couldn't have. I ended up ordering the Chicken Ginger dish with rice and my partner got Pad Thai.
The Chef then kept my list and ensured that my dish didn't contain any of those ingredients (things such as onion, garlic, soy sauce and many others). My partner and I were blown away by the level of service and the ease of it all, as the staff member made me feel like it wasn't a burden of any kind. She was so lovely and even brought our meals out to the car, as they were ready before we went back inside.
Thank you so much to the chef & the lovely lady who helped us - the food was amazing, the service was amazing and I would definitely recommend going to Thai on the Hill if you are...
Read moreThere was only two people inside the restaurant sitting on plastic chairs without padding, asked to sit on a couch and was told they were for 4 people, the restaurant was empty it was 11am on a Sunday. I looked at my wife who is 8 months pregnant, looked at the 12+ cushioned empty seats and asked again nicely if we could sit on a couch, do I need to explain a bit of cushioning is for her not me. Anyway the arrogant owner just repeats herself and I told her to forget it. Went somewhere else, I suggest you should too..
Despite the owners response, there was 2 people in the restaurant, there was 25 plus seats available inside plus additional seating outside. From other reviews the owner simply doesn't care...
Read moreCrab spring rolls were wonderful although the accompanying sauce was all over the inside of bag as the lid was not secure. Ordered Massam Beef spicy hot. I don't believe this was even a mild as it had absolutely no taste and no spice. Very plain meal. Chunks of beef were approx 7cm. Is it that time consuming for the kitchen to cut slightly smaller. Presentation would be so much better. I rang and was told they would let the kitchen know. Don't know how that is supposed to make my experience with Thai on the hill any better. Can never understand why an $18 meal (which probably cost the restaurant at least half of that) doesn't offer a credit rather than a bad review - all...
