Seriously a hidden gem! So happy we found this place while staying at SWR. Partner took me for my birthday and surprised me with a flower arrangement put together by one of their staff (you can order them ahead with your booking at HMK)

Beautiful little home style place, with a beautiful little fire place and cosy ambience. The service was excellent and made my birthday dinner very special!

Food was so so SO good could not fault anything at all it was delicious! The Tasmanian scallops were unreal! Partner had the kangaroo special and I had the steak, both were cooked to perfection to the point my partner kept inspecting his kangaroo to see if it was actually kangaroo, because “there is no way you can cook it this perfectly” Cocktails were on par with the food, The lemon myrtle mojito was definitely a favourite of mine!

A delightful evening at 'HMK', the balcony overlooking beautiful greenery up on the high side of the road where you could enjoy gum trees and ferns all at once.

Set in a converted house, you could easily host a group or reception here.

Each dish was considered, well balanced and tasty with helpful and professional service. Highlight dish mullet pate, I would eat it again for breakfast if I could!

Overheard a local couple saying "we don't go out for dinner often... But we're glad we came here!" To that end it was obvious all customers really appreciated this lovely restaurant.
